FIFA chief accuses Qatar critics of hypocrisy, says Europeans should apologize for past 3,000 years
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has hit out at those who are criticizing the upcoming soccer World Cup in Qatar by accusing them of hypocrisy.
The World Cup in Qatar has been overshadowed by treatment of LGBT people and also the conditions of migrant workers who built stadiums.
Infantino attended a press conference in Doha where he spoke for nearly an hour and defended Qatar.
“This moral lesson-giving — one-sided — is just hypocrisy,” Infantino said. “I don’t want to give you any lessons of life, but what is going on here is profoundly, profoundly unjust.”
He added, “For what we Europeans have been doing for the last 3,000 years we should apologize for the next 3,000 years before starting giving moral lessons to people.”
Infantino also addressed the groups who have expressed concerns about Qatar.
“Today I feel Qatari, today I feel Arab, today I feel African, today I feel gay, today I feel disabled, today I feel a migrant worker,” he said.
Officials in Qatar have said that their country has been the target of “racism” and “double standards,” adding that reformation in the country has been “groundbreaking.”
Host nation Qatar will take on Ecuador on November 20th in the opening match of the World Cup.

The first thing people need to learn or remember is that the “LGBT” movement is about promoting and normalizing deviant behavior. The proper term for the behavior is sodomy. The are many words being misused to avoid people thinking about the behavior and what it really is.
