The IRS gave Hunter Biden a big break

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) removed a whistleblower and all his fellow investigators from an investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes. This abrupt removal happened Monday (May 15), according to the New York Post.

IRS retaliates

The IRS removed the whisteblower and his team from the Hunter Biden investigation, which has run for a long time. They apparently acted on orders from the Justice Department.

The unnamed whistleblower retained two lawyers, Mark Lytle and Tristan Leavitt, who informed Congress in writing of yesterday’s events. On April 19 he informed Congress he had information on a cover-up of “preferential treatment” of “a high-profile, controversial subject.” That “subject” is Hunter Biden, as congressional sources confirmed to the Post when this story first broke. This whistleblower’s lawyers described their client as “a career IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent who has been overseeing the ongoing and sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject since early 2020.”

The lawyers addressed their letter to the chairmen and ranking members of the Senate Finance and Judiciary Committees, the chairmen and ranking members of the House Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees, and to Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), co-chairman of the Senate Whistleblower Caucus.

Yesterday’s events are “clearly retaliatory and may also constitute obstruction of a congressional inquiry,” the lawyers wrote in another letter. They cited 5 U.S.C. § 2302, which protects whistleblowers, and 18 U.S.C. § 1505, which criminalizes obstruction of Congressional investigations.

IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel promised no retaliation on April 27. But a week after the first letter reached Congress, Hunter Biden and his lawyers met with federal prosecutors.

Suspicious timing

The abrupt removal of the whistleblower from the case came the same afternoon as the release of the Durham Report. It also comes after the FBI refused to release a document showing the FBI had information that Joe Biden accepted bribes from a foreign power or powers while serving as Vice-President. Senator Grassley and Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) sent a subpoena to FBI Director Christopher Wray, who has ignored it.

Clearly an attempt to protect the Biden Crime family. We already known Hunter Biden has been cheating on his taxes due to the child support case and other information in the public areana. We are dealing with crimes of sedition and possibly treason as well.
