Pennsylvania hopeful: our hope
Much of the nation’s attention focuses on the presidential campaigns. But the Senate races are almost as important. Given the track record of the man now occupying the White House, it is reasonable to assume that should he win a second term (God forbid!); we can expect more national destruction. In such a horrific situation, our best defense would be a Republican Senate And today I direct your attention to a key Senate primary in Pennsylvania
My perspective
Before I go any further I need to state that I am NOT a committed Republican – although I am registered as a Republican and have voted Republican since Ronald Reagan. Unfortunately, I believe that a wishy-washy Republican Party is scarcely better than the liberals now in control of the Senate. The Republicans bear much of the blame for the present condition of this country. However, they are better – to whatever degree – than the Democrats and a Republican victory can stall our nation’s march into the abyss of socialism. So, like it or not, often I find myself having to hold my nose when I cast my ballot.
The Pennsylvania choice
Those voting in the Pennsylvania primaries tomorrow may not have to hold their nose when they vote. They have a candidate that many states can only dream about – a real American hero. He is David Christian, and he is one of the most highly decorated veterans in military history. He has received 7 purple hearts, the bronze star, 2 silver stars, the Distinguished Service Medal, had 25 drops behind enemy lines and was nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor twice. There are so many other medals and awards that it would be ridiculous to try to list them all.
Regarding the other candidates: two are recent former democrats, one of whom (Steve Welch) has admitted to changing his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat and voted for Obama in the 2008 primary. Believe it or not, Welch is actually the endorsed candidate of the Republican State Committee and Governor Corbett.
Additionally, the state GOP challenged Christian’s petitions and tried to kick him off the ballot. While they were unsuccessful in doing so, it resulted in a court challenge that wasted over 3 weeks and cost close to $100,000. Why are they so afraid of Christian? Perhaps it’s because they know they cannot control him and he will not knuckle under to the political powers to be.
Additionally, David has served under 6 different presidents, including Ronald Reagan who became a personal friend. I would encourage you to go to his website and check him out for yourself: www.davechristian.com.
In addition to his website, Sarah Palin has a radio network and David was interviewed on Friday and it was posted yesterday. He is the only Pennsylvania candidate to have been interviewed on Sarah Palin’s radio network. If you would like to hear him for yourself, here is the link:http://www.sarahnet.net/sarahnet-radio/6642-christian-scholla.html
Christian has been endorsed by conservative radio talk show hosts, Don Smith and Rick Amato and Sharon Angle (see: http://www.politicspa.com/sharron-angle-endorses-david-christian-for-senate/32027/) as well as others.
Finally, David has so much military and overseas experience that he has been called on repeatedly to brief both Congress and the US Senate on foreign affairs. None of the other candidates have ever served in the military or can make that claim.
You would think that a candidate of this caliber would be walking away with the election and have unchallenged Republican support – but not so. The political machines have come against him with great force. If you have ever asked yourself why we don’t have better people representing us, perhaps the answer lies in the political culture of Pennsylvania where a dream candidate is marginalized and challenged.
What you can do
The good news is that We the People can change that. So, if you use Facebook, Twitter or any other social media, please try to get folks to go to his website and listen to the interview. If you don’t do social medial, email as many people as you can and ask them to use their social media and use FB or Tweet everyone they know about David Christian.
And most importantly, if you live in Pennsylvania or know registered voters in Pennsylvania, please contact them and encourage them to cast their vote for David Christian.
