Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene reports first fundraising loss since 2020 election
The Federal Election Committee reports that the campaign for Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green (GA-14) has its first net loss since Greene’s 2021 election.
The report revealed a $314,000 deficit over the first three months of 2022, with previous contribution totals lowered by more than $100,000.
According to Business Insider, Greene’s fundraising committee, Greene for Congress, is considered one of the top fundraisers in the House and has constantly generated a significant amount of profit. Greene for Congress, spent about $1.38 million in the first quarter of 2022 while receiving $1.06 million in donations.
One major expense for the Greene campaign is security. She employs KaJor Group, the same security company used by Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.
According to Independent, three-fourths of Greene’s expenses come from mailing advertisements with an additional $400,000 on printing and postage.
Additionally, she hired former president Donald Trump’s legal adviser John Eastman, paying a $10,000 retainer to his firm called the Constitutional Counsel Group. Greene’s expenses have increased throughout this election year.
