Alec Baldwin calls for gun control in now viral Instagram post
Alec Baldwin, who has been accused of shooting and killing Halyna Hutchins in a tragic event while filming the movie “Rust,” has called for stricter gun regulation in order to prevent such accidental shootings.
In a Friday morning Instagram post, Baldwin wrote, “The very childhoods of our kids interrupted by this insanity. We regulate many things in this country in the interest of public health and safety. Drugs, cars, professional licenses, etc. We need gun control reform. Now.”
The post was accompanied by a video shot in South Carolina showing children at a little league game diving for cover after hearing gun shots.
Baldwin allegedly shot and killed Halyna Hutchins, who was working as Director of Photography for the film. The incident is still being investigated by the New Mexico police and there are also ongoing civil lawsuits against Baldwin.
However, some have accused the actor of double standards.
“No matter your thoughts on the issue (I’m very pro-2A), I think all rational people can agree the pro-gun control movement doesn’t want Alec Baldwin as its spokesman. In fact, I can’t think of a worse person to do the job,” said a writer for The Daily Caller. “When you’ve allegedly shot and killed a woman, you should probably never lecture law-abiding citizens about needing gun control reform.”

I saw video of where Mr Baldwin is saying he did not pull the trigger and from his example where he shows with his hands what he was doing with the gun he did not pull the trigger. HOWEVER, he was playing with gun’s hammer and from his example in the video he had pulled the hammer back and released it, which caused the gun to fire the bullet. He basically admitted to negligent homicide when one looks at video presentation.
