Video appears to show Uvalde school shooter carrying plastic bag with dead cats inside
Newly released video footage appears to show the Robb Elementary School mass shooter, Salvador Ramos, holding a plastic bag carrying the bodies of dead cats, in what some consider yet another warning sign that Ramos was mentally unstable before carrying out the deadly shooting last week.
The footage shows Ramos sitting in the passenger seat of a friend’s car, smiling proudly while holding up a clear plastic bag that appears to be filled with the bloodied bodies of at least two dead felines. The video is not dated. An acquaintance of Ramos’, David Trevino Jr., told the New York Post Ramos was “known for hurting cats.”
“He liked hurting animals,” Trevino continued. “I’m told he killed the cats and carried around the bag of bodies for s–ts and giggles. The video shows he was not right in the head. He’s not all there. The video raises all sorts of red flags.”
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) responded to the video saying the shooter’s propensity for violence toward animals is not at all shocking. “If reports are true that Uvalde shooter Salvador Ramos appeared in videos holding a bag of dead cats before he opened fire on defenseless children, it would come as no surprise to PETA. The FBI has identified cruelty to animals as a warning sign of more violence to come.”
Reports from those who knew Ramos show he was hot-tempered, violent, a loner, and often scared away those who attempted to be friends with him. Students at the high school Ramos previously attended said when she rejected his advances because she had heard from other students that he was known to be aggressive, angry and violent.
