Sen. Ron Johnson removes badly-timed ad on ‘the latest mass murder’
Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) and his team recently scrambled to have a radio ad pulled off air shortly after the Highland Park shooting, in which a shooter opened fire on a crowd celebrating Independence Day, killing at least 6 people and injuring a further 36.
Johnson’s ad commences by saying “The latest mass murder in America didn’t involve guns.” Johnson goes onto say that “53 people, including 5 children were murdered by human traffickers because Joe Biden’s open border policy is facilitating the multi-billion-dollar business model of some of the most evil people on the planet.”
Johnson goes onto hit out at the Democrat party for allowing human, sex, and drug trafficking to get out of control before delivering a final line of “I’m Ron Johnson, and I approve this message.”
Johnson, who is currently seeking re-election, announced on his own personal website: “So today, I am announcing I will continue to fight for freedom in the public realm by running for re-election. It is not a decision I have made lightly. Having already experienced a growing level of vitriol and false attacks, I certainly don’t expect better treatment in the future. In order for my campaign to succeed, I will need the support of every Wisconsinite who values the truth and refuses to allow lies and distortions to prevail.”
The Vice President of Katz Radio, who worked with Johnson on the ad, allegedly insisted that the ad be “pulled ASAP,” one day after the Highland Park shooting. The Katz VP stated, “If you listened to the spot, it talks about mass shootings, which obviously is not good creative after this past weekend (especially in Chicago).”
Johnson is a supporter of the second amendment and an approval rating in excess of 83% from groups such as The National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America and The National Shooting Sports Foundation, according to Vote Smart.
Police have since charged a 21-year-old man in relation to the Highland Park shooting with 7 counts of first-degree murder. They described his weapon as a “high powered gun.”

He should point out that the murders being done by mass-shooters are the result of the “Left” promotion of “If it feels good do it” mentality and their destruction of morals.
