President Biden makes remarks on friendship with 12-year-old girl during speech
Conservative Twitter is aflame with questions about remarks President Joe Biden made about a woman in the audience during a speech he made at a teacher’s union event.
The President was speaking at the National Education Association’s meeting last week when he noticed someone he recognized in the audience mid-speech.
“You gotta say hi to me,” Biden said, pointing into the crowd. He then explained how he knew the woman but left out much detail. “We go back a long way. She was 12 and I was 30, but anyway. This woman helped me get an awful lot done. Anyway.”
While it appears Biden is speaking in a political and professional manner about his relationship with the woman, conservatives on Twitter have been vocal about their feelings regarding his remarks.
“As dementia progresses, patients lose more of their filter and tend to blurt out the truth,” wrote Republican podcaster Monica Crowley.
Conservative commentator Kyle Becker Tweeted, “This is just plain creepy,” and posted an article about Biden’s remarks.
President Biden has not yet elaborated on the comments, or who the woman was. The crowd, according to Fox News, laughed at Biden’s acknowledgement of the young lady.
