Herschel Walker says he finds common ground with Biden on one thing: Eating ‘a lot of ice cream’
Herschel Walker (R-GE) was vocal about his opposition to Biden’s policies in his recent debate against Raphael Warnock, however he did find some agreement with Biden when it comes to “eating a lot of ice cream,
Walker was pressed during an interview with NBC whether he supported any of President Biden’s policies and he responded by saying “One thing he’s done that I support? He eats a lot of ice cream.”
The interview covered further topics such as claims that Walker paid for an ex-girlfriend to have an abortion along with his pro-life stance.
NBC was able to get their hands on a copy of the check for $700 and a receipt for the abortion procedure from Walker’s ex, who is the mother of one of his children. Walker was presented with a copy of the check during the interview.
Walker took a look at the check and agreed it was his check, saying “Yeah, that’s my check,” but he denied that the check was used to fund an abortion.
When pressed on the claims, he responded: “That’s a lie,” adding, “Prove I did it. Just show me that kind of thing doesn’t matter to me.”
Walker went on to say that he had “no idea what it could be” and said that he had offered many checks to several different woman.
NBC then said that the woman specified it was the only check Walker had given her before she gave birth to his child.
“You want me to answer something that’s a lie and everybody’s trying to trick me into answering,” Walker said.
The woman, who has asked to remain anonymous, first informed The Daily Beast that Walker had put pressure on her to have an abortion and she provided a copy of the $700 check and a “get well” card that Walker sent her in 2009.
The woman alleged that she fell pregnant again to Walker in 2011 and this time, refused his requests for an abortion. The relationship ended around this time.
Walker threw his support behind the Georgia Heartbeat bill, which bans abortions earlier in a pregnancy with exceptions being made for rape and incest.
“I will always be pro-life, but I also support what the voice of the people is,” Walker said. ‘The vote of the people is the Georgia heartbeat bill, which has exceptions. I am a senator for the people. And I said, one of the problems we have [is that] Senators in Washington forgot the people who put them there.”
