Proud Boys’ lawyers plan to subpoena Donald Trump in seditious conspiracy trial
The legal teams for five Proud Boys leaders have said they plan to call former President Donald Trump to testify as a character witness for their clients’ seditious conspiracy trial.
Lawyers for Joe Biggs, who is a Proud Boys organizer from Florida, announced the subpoena on Thursday that would require Trump to make an appearance in March and said they would solicit the assistance of the Justice Department’s to serve Trump.
“Donald Trump called on patriots to stop the steal,” said Biggs’ lawyer Norm Pattis. “We’re calling on Donald Trump to take the stand.”
The judge in the case, U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly has not yet indicated whether a subpoena will be issued.
Biggs and his co-defendants — Enrique Tarrio, Ethan Nordean, Zachary Rehl and Dominic Pezzola have been charged with seditious conspiracy, along with other felonies. They stand accused of using force to prevent the peaceful transfer of power on January 6th, 2021.
Prosecutors have used the Proud Boys’ affinity for Trump, as their main motivation for their alleged plot to prevent the 2020 election results being certified.
The Proud Boys’ legal team have also put the blame at Trump’s door for the riot. It was Trump who “unleashed the mob” on Jan. 6th, Sabino Jauregui, who is a lawyer for Tarrio, said in his opening statement in January.
Tarrio has had all requests for home detention denied and will remain in jail until his trial.

The Election was stolen. Kamala Harris is not a natural born Citizen of the US nor was she a citizen of the US when the US Constitution was adopted. She invalidates the Biden/Harris team selection by the Electoral College. And the same issues applies the Mr Obama and Mr McCain. Both of them are native born Citizens of the US and are and were not eligible to selected by the Electoral College. And keep in mind Mrs Harris, based upon her birth conditions, is not a US citizen, unless she was naturalized. Just being born in the US does not make one a US citizen. Only US citizens and legitimate/legal immigrants produce US citizen via Amendment 14.
