A variety of threats could be listed in today’s America. All of them would probably be legitimate. Looming financial disaster, intrusion by the United Nations in many levels of life and government, Obamacare, Common Core Education, depletion of our military, illegal immigration, voter apathy, and of course terrorism – just to name the most obvious. But the biggest threat to America may be lurking in the background hiding behind all the rest – the man now occupying the White House. Many refer to him as POTUS. I befittingly refer to him as BO – for obvious reasons.

Stealthy introduction

Barack Hussein Obama entered the political scene with much stealth. He was a charismatic young man who many regarded as attractive, well-spoken, and well-educated. He and his team managed to design a campaign where everyone heard what they wanted to hear, like “change you can believe in” – whatever that may have meant. I frequently stood in front of the television listening to his speeches and found myself asking, “Now what the heck did he just say”? The truth was that with all the platitudes and well-crafted soundbites, the man actually said nothing but people heard what they wanted to hear.

As his campaign progressed, there were many red flags that started to emerge. But those that never asked “what the heck did he just say” didn’t seem to notice. Worse of all, the press protected him in every way imaginable. And the Democratic Party reveled in his charisma – to the point of not holding him accountable eligibility-wise. The country seemed poised to welcome its first Black president – no matter what he was – even if he wasn’t qualified by birth or experience for the job. And what he was and is just may prove to be the biggest threat to our national security and way of life that this naïve country could possibly imagine. You see, an incompetent president, such as Jimmy Carter, is one thing, but an anti-American president intent on destroying this nation is quite another. The monster that would have us throw babies born after a botched abortion in the trash should not be expected to harbor legitimate concern for the rest of our lives or the American Dream. But somehow America looked passed all that.

To recap, BO has sent millions upon millions of our tax dollars to failing companies of his choice, like Solyndra, all while our country was in desperate financial jeopardy. He modeled a “Cash for Clunkers” program after its successful German counterpart, but did not include that the cars bought had to be made in this country, which was a departure from the German program. He sequestered our military while he and his family took extravagant vacations, unprecedented by others in his position. He fanned the flames of racial division in this country – the likes of which we hadn’t known for perhaps a century. He sent jet fighters and extraordinary amounts of money to Muslim countries and the Muslim Brotherhood while cutting down our military. He deprived the victims of the Fort Hood shootings of their much needed benefits by referring to the incident as “work place violence.” He changed the Rules of Engagement for our troops in harm’s way on an almost daily basis, frustrating them and stressing them more while in an already stressful and life-threatening position. He shut down off-shore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and has refused to approve the Keystone Pipeline, all the while keeping us dependent for fuel on Muslim countries which would like to wipe us off the face of the earth. He has repeatedly tried to do everything within his power to deprive us of our second amendment rights. He strong-armed us into bearing the burden of Obamacare while exempting Congress and other cronies. He spent untold millions on a website that was created by incompetent designers while banning White House tours due to costs. He repeatedly assigned incompetent leadership to positions of great responsibility and did not fire them when their incompetence became evident to the rest of the country. He went on a fundraising trip when four Americans were being savagely killed in Benghazi. He allowed Eric Holder to claim “Executive Privilege” to avoid a proper investigation into the Fast and Furious debacle and the subsequent death of Brian Terry. He tried to pass the President’s Rural Council that would have absurdly regulated our farming industry, including requiring anyone operating farm equipment to hold a CDL license. He has promoted the dumbing-down of our already substandard educational system through Common Core education, etc., etc., etc.

As if all of this isn’t enough to have BO charged with treason or at the very least, impeached, he – personally – without appropriately going through the Senate Armed Services Committee, negotiated a deal to have Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl released after five years in a Pakistan prison. While this may seem like a good thing, it is tainted by the belief of some soldiers that Bergdahl should be tried for desertion or going AWOL. And as the story develops, there are reports that Bergdahl had renounced his American citizenship and aided the Taliban. To make matters worse, the two week search for Bergdahl put an entire U.S. military division and thousands of Afghanis at risk, resulting in soldiers being killed. So, what exactly did BO give in exchange for Bergdahl? The release of five GITMO detainees otherwise known as the “Taliban Dream Team”, which is believed to have been responsible for the deaths of thousands. To add insult to injury, BO negotiated with Pakistan to release a dishonorable Sgt. while not lifting a finger to negotiate the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, imprisoned in a Mexican jail through an unfortunate error – not because he deserted his unit, renounced his American citizenship, or placed anyone in any danger other than himself.

So there you have it. Releasing dangerous Taliban members in order to have an anti-American troop released – a “two-for” if you’re an anti-American yourself and just what you would unfortunately expect from the abhorrent and traitorous BO. Many call BO incompetent or disengaged. I, however, call him America’s biggest threat and I can only pray that someday soon no one will be able to call him Mr. President. I just hope that day will come before he hammers any more nails into America’s coffin.
