Elected representatives in America have often been labeled “lame ducks” when their term is in its final stages. This label implies that their ability to accomplish anything is hindered by the limited time they have left in office. Historically, that has been the case – especially for presidents in their second term. That is not the case for the man now occupying the White House in 2014.

What can an imperial lame duck president do?

There are two courses of action a lame duck president can take:

One – they can continue on with business as usual and accomplish little, since their influence is diminished within a congress that is habitually concerned with their own future and not what is good for the country. These men and women understand that a president with limited time can do little to help or protect their careers. Unless the president is extremely popular and has coat tails that the career-centric politicians can latch on to, this has been the way lame duck presidents have been perceived in the past.

Two – if they are anti-American ideologues, they can realize that they have a limited amount of time left and use that time to do as much damage to our American way of life as possible. In this scenario, popularity and public opinion is trumped by ideology.

If a president falls into category number Two above and realizes that the spineless branches of government that are supposed to keep him in check are paralyzed by their own ambitions, he becomes an imperial president. This places a liberty-loving country such as our in jeopardy as the person occupying the White House usurps his constitutional powers and anoints himself to be king with limitless powers to destroy the nation he presides over. There is only one thing that is more of a threat to America than an imperial president, and that is an imperial president with an anti-American agenda.

What would an imperial lame duck president do?

• Destroy our faltering economy by raiding our treasury in every way possible. This would include sending as much of our hard-earned money to foreign interests – including those that are avowed enemies; sending large sums of money to support companies that are imminently doomed to fail; creating every kind of entitlement program possible and expanding those already in existence; over-regulating existing industries to the point where it is nearly impossible for them to operate properly – resulting in a loss of jobs and a loss of taxable income; prohibit in every way possible development of initiatives that would create jobs (such as the Keystone Pipeline); kill all industries possible through uber-environmental laws (such as the coal industry);
• Deplete and discourage our military by reducing the number of troops under the pretense of efficiency; changing the rules of engagement for troops in harm’s way on a regular basis to add stress and psychological discouragement to an already stressful situation; limit the funds for the things they need and allow the VA to continue in its inadequacies; discharge good leadership and replace it with incompetent ideologues that support the lame duck’s ideas; decrease the number of troops in harm’s way while leaving a significant number – thereby endangering those that remain and turning them into sitting ducks; arrange for the release of questionable troops by exchanging proven dangerous enemy combatants that will further place our troops in jeopardy, etc., etc., etc.
• Support our enemies in any way possible, including financing the Muslim Brotherhood and not supporting legitimate freedom fighters – like those that asked for our help in Iran; protecting our enemies income by shutting down our competing industries – like off-shore drilling, the Keystone Pipeline, the coal industry; and most egregiously releasing known Islamic Extremists that we have captured and are imprisoned at GITMO, etc., etc., etc.
• Taking our guns way – including using any tragedy possible to twist the idea that guns caused the tragedies and not the lunatics that orchestrated the tragedies; giving guns to criminally minded contingents in an effort to support the notion that guns are bad; limiting the capabilities of our firepower; enforcing unconstitutional gun restriction laws under the pretense that it’s for our own good.

The list goes on and on. To elaborate upon it, all one has to do is look at the activities of the man currently occupying the White House. Many talking heads may be wondering why so many of the things he does just don’t seem to make sense. They refuse to recognize that he has an anti-America agenda. Therefore, they fail to recognize that everything he does makes sense within this worldview.

Bigger problems lie ahead for America as the imperial lame duck occupying the White House realizes his days are numbered. The instances listed above represent a preview of what this man will do now that he is no longer concerned about re-election or public opinion. Unfortunately, the worst is yet to come.

A military solution – but not what you think

Since, we cannot rely on career-oriented politicians to do anything controversial that may cost them a vote or two, we can only hope that our military leadership will rise up and charge him with treason – if there are enough left with the right stuff to act. At this point, a military verdict for treason can be remanded to Congress, forcing them to impeach the man who would be king. And in the trial process, if we are lucky, someone along the line will demand proof of his eligibility as part of the discovery process. That would be our best case scenario – a scenario that would allow us to undo much of the damage he has done by repealing everything he has signed, every action he has taken, every appointment he has made – all as being unauthorized. However, I may be the one living in la-la land. But I can still dream – he hasn’t been able to take that away from me or anyone else – at least not yet.
