Police allege Waukesha Christmas parade attack was an ‘intentional act’

After the Wisconsin Christmas parade attack on Sunday evening, a police officer who witnessed the incident said he believes the suspect carried out an “intentional act to strike and hurt as many people as possible.” His words were recorded in a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
Darrell Brooks Jr. is the suspect who was arrested for driving his car through a Christmas parade in Waukesha Wisconsin. The officer who witnessed the attack reported that he saw the vehicle driving in a zig-zag-like pattern, and then he saw “bodies and objects were flying from the area of the vehicle.”
Five people, from the ages of 52 to 81 were pronounced dead within hours of the attack. Jackson Sparks, an 8-year-old who was among the many children injured, died on Tuesday. Brooks is currently facing five counts of first-degree intentional homicide, but following Sparks’ death, he is expected to face a sixth count.
Brooks’ social media accounts reportedly showed that he shared pro-Hitler memes and called for violence against white people. One image suggested that “Hitler was right” for targeting and killing Jews. Another post, written in June of last year following George Floyd’s death, featured Brooks’ own words: “LEARNED ND TAUGHT BEHAVIOR!!” he wrote. “So when we start bakk knokkin white people TF out ion wanna hear it…the old white pppl 2, KNOKK DEM TF OUT!! PERIOD.”
