Former President Donald Trump reveals he got the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot
Former President Donald Trump revealed that he received the COVID vaccine booster shot.
According to the New York Post, Trump encouraged his supporters to embrace the vaccines. “Take credit for it. It’s a great – What we’ve done is historic. Don’t let them take it away. Don’t take it away from ourselves. You’re playing that – you’re playing right into their hands when you’re sort of like, ‘Oh, the vaccine!’” the former president said.
“If you don’t want to take it, you shouldn’t be forced to take it. Not mandates, but take credit, because we saved tens of millions of lives. Take credit. Don’t let them take that away from you,” he continued. Trump appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s “History Tour” on Sunday. Both Trump and O’Reilly revealed that they got the jab.
Trump was booed by a handful of audience members after announcing that he was vaccinated and brushed them off (CNBC). He said at a rally in Alabama, “And you know what? I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You’ve got to do what you have to do. But, I recommend: take the vaccines. I did it. It’s good. Take the vaccines.”
Trump himself had battled Covid in October 2020, but did get the vaccine in January before leaving the White House. Republicans make up the majority of unvaccinated citizens. Many conservative leaders, including Sarah Palin, have expressed their disagreements with the shot.
