GOP official claims footage shows government contractors flying migrants into New York
A GOP official from New York say Fox News video footage captured by a body camera last year captures federal contractors flying undocumented immigrants into Westchester, New York, from the Southern border.
Republican candidate for governor, Rob Astorino, Tweeted video footage last week that he says shows federal contractors revealing to an officer that the Biden administration is “lying” to the American people and flying immigrants from the Southern border to Westchester County Airport late at night on after-curfew flights.
“The government is betraying the American people,” a contractor tells police Sergeant Michael Hamborsky in the video, which Astorino says he obtained via a Freedom of Information request. “You’re on a secure facility here; we really don’t know anything and we’re in charge of security,” Hamborsky replies. “This is anti all our security stuff.”
Hamborsky was reportedly investigating a Boeing 737 flight from Texas he says was chartered by the US government.
When asked why there was so much secrecy surrounding the flights, one contractor tells Hamborsky, “You know why, look who’s in office. That’s why, come on,” the federal contractor says. “Because if this gets out, the government is betraying the American people.”
The video shows passengers getting off the plane and being put into buses. The bus drivers are also seemingly unable to tell Hamborsky where they are going.
Astorino sent a letter to the White House on Tuesday requesting more information regarding the flights, which he claims the White House says are “not secret.”
