President Biden warns of ‘sad, sad two years’ if GOP retakes Congress in midterms
President Joe Biden issued a warning during his remarks to the Democratic National Committee members on Thursday about the potential for Republicans to take control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.
The president urged Democrats to continue using the same work ethic, enthusiasm and energy as in the 2020 election while they push to keep control of the House and Senate and add seats.
“If we don’t do that, don’t do that, it’s going to be a sad, sad two years. Think about Republicans if they controlled the Congress these last two years,” the president remarked to members at their Washington, D.C. winter meeting.
Biden highlighted the Democrats’ record for the last two years and told them to take advantage of it while campaigning this cycle. “I believe we have a record to be incredibly proud of…a message that resonates: Build a better America. Now we have to do the work,” he said.
The president continued, “Now what we have to do is we have to sell it with confidence, clarity, conviction, and repetition.” Biden went on to list Ukraine as a top issue for Democrats to run on, emphasizing the unity of NATO and the United States against Russia’s ongoing attack on its neighboring country, saying Russian President Vladimir Putin has “failed to divide Democrats and Republicans.”
He also pointed to the record-high gas prices as “Putin’s price hike,” which is rhetoric the White House has been employing to discuss gas prices since Biden announced the ban on Russian energy imports this week.
The president went on to mention the American Rescue Plan, the vaccination rate among Americans, and the 6.5 million jobs created in the U.S. in 2021.
He also pointed to the bipartisan infrastructure deal, which he signed into law in November, adding that some Republicans voted for the legislation and that others who did not are “taking credit.”
Biden commented, “Every new bridge or highway, the Republicans who voted against it are standing there taking credit. As my mother would say, God love them. God love them. We got it done though, and we did get some Republican support and I’m thankful for it.”

If the Republicans and Constitutionalists take Congress back maybe we will get a legitimate President and Vice-President. Remember, Mrs Harris is not a natural born Citizen of the US, and is most likely not even a US citizen due to her birth conditions, and she invalidates the Biden/Harris team. She might be a naturalized citizen of the US. Note, Mr Obama and Mr McCain invalidated their teams as well. And when the Republicans and Constitutionalists take Congress back we can look forward to a restoration of freedom and prosperity.Every time the US has suffered economic problems its Democrats, “Leftist”, and anti-Constitutionalist causing it.
