Stacey Abrams made a cameo appearance on an episode of “Star Trek: Discovery.”
Abrams’ appearance has been revealed to be being used to fundraise her Georgia gubernatorial campaign. Abrams appeared on the episode briefly and was announced as “President of the United Earth.”
Actress Kate Mulgrew tweeted, “Welcome to the Federation, Madame President! A great honor to have you among our ranks. @staceyabrams This trailblazing woman works tirelessly to champion voting rights and fair elections. She has my full support in her campaign for governor. Donate now: staceyabrams.com” Mulgrew had played the iconic role of Captain Janeway on “Star Trek: Voyager.”
Abrams lost her gubernatorial race in 2018 to current governor Brian Kemp. She has claimed that the election was stolen from her on numerous occasions.
The Hill reported that the episode Abrams appeared in was the season finale. Abrams is currently the only Democrat running for governor of Georgia. She will face either incumbent Governor Brian Kemp or former Senator David Perdue who are competing for the GOP nomination (Post Millennial).
