Former President Donald Trump endorses Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania Senate race
Former president Donald Trump endorsed GOP candidate and fellow television personality, Dr. Oz this weekend at a rally in North Carolina, making the hotly contested Pennsylvania senate race even more interesting.
Trump announced his endorsement of Dr. Oz at the rally on Saturday where he urged the crowd to support Rep. Ted Budd and Rep. Madison Cawthorn in their congressional races, saying, “By the way, I endorsed another person today — Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania.”
Trump continued, “Dr. Oz. Great guy, good man. He’s a good man. Harvard educated, tremendous, tremendous career and they liked him for a long time. That’s like a poll. You know, when you’re in television for 18 years, that’s like a poll, that means people like you.”
In a statement released during the rally, Trump wrote, “This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country.” Trump then added, “[Dr. Oz] has lived with us through the screen and has always been popular, respected, and smart. He even said that I was in extraordinary health, which made me like him even more.”
