Vice President Harris accuses GOP of ‘assault on freedom’ after Supreme Court draft opinion on abortion is leaked
Vice President Kamala Harris lashed out at what she called a Republican attack on women’s rights in a speech at a gala on Tuesday night, just a day after a draft opinion written by Justice Alito leaked, and appears to signal the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Speaking at a fundraising gala for Emily’s List, an organization that works to bolster pro-abortion candidates in elections, Harris was candid about her thoughts on the SCOTUS leak and what it may mean for women and the country.
“Women in almost half the country could see their access to abortion severely limited,” Harris said. “In 13 of those states, women could lose access to abortion immediately and outright. Those Republican leaders who are trying to weaponize the use of the law against women… how dare they! How dare they tell a woman what she can do and what she can’t do with her own body! How dare they! How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future! How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms!”
She continued, “When the right to privacy is attacked, anyone in our country may face a future where the government can interfere with their personal decisions. Not just women. Anyone. And it has never been more clear which party wants to expand our rights and which party wants to restrict them.”
Harris specifically said the reversal of Roe v. Wade would mean a direct attack on freedom in the United States. “If the court overturns Roe v. Wade, it will be a direct assault on freedom — on the fundamental right of self-determination to which all Americans are entitled,” she said.
Harris called on abortion rights supporters to act. “So to the friends, I say, we’ve always been clear, but today we know our purpose. We know, also, what we are up against. We have been on the front lines of this fight for many years. All of us in this together. And now we enter a new phase,” Harris said. “There is nothing hypothetical about this moment.”

A Sometimes-Squabbling Conservative Constellation Gathers at Charlie Kirk Invitation
People should learn the real history of the reason the “Left” promotes abortion, or to put it more bluntly the killing of unborn children. It is to get rid of those they consider undesirable. There are only reasons for an abortion – the child is dead in the uterus, or an Ectopic pregnancy which will kill the mother and child. Mrs Harris, she is not Vice-President since she is not a natural born Citizen of the US, is just promoting the murder of children as the “Left” has always done. The mantra “My Body My Choice” is a lie. An unborn child is not part of the mother’s body. And consider, most of the people promoting the killing of an unborn child would fight tooth and nail against the killing of unborn puppies and unborn kittens. Learn the real history of the “Left”; which includes NAZIs, Bolsheviks. Maoist; and the 160 million people they have killed after birth. If it is moral to kill and unborn child for any reason then it is obviously moral to kill post-born people for any reason – think about the logic.
