Former Vice President Dick Cheney calls Donald Trump a “coward” in campaign ad for daughter Liz
During a campaign ad for his daughter Liz Cheney (R-WY), former Vice President Dick Cheney referred to former President Donald Trump as “a coward,” as well as a “threat” to the country.
Cheney posted the video to his daughter’s Twitter. “In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual that was a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters rejected him.” Dick Cheney said.
He added, “He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters. He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down, I think most Republicans know it.”
Cheney said that both he and his wife believe that Liz is doing the right thing “standing up for the truth, doing what’s right and honoring her oath to the constitution, when so many in our party are too scared to do so.”
Cheney also said that his daughter Liz is “fearless,” will never “back down from a fight,” and will do her utmost to ensure that Trump is never President again. The video concluded with him saying “I am Dick Cheney. I proudly voted for my daughter. And I hope you will too.”
Liz Cheney made an appearance on Fox News where she said she was “fighting for every vote.” She said that “Given the choice between maintaining my seat in the House of Representatives on the one hand or ensuring the survival of our constitutional republic and ensuring the American people know the truth about Donald Trump, I will choose the Constitution and the truth every day of the week and twice on Sunday.”
Liz is running against Harriett Hageman, who has been endorsed by Donald Trump. “I strongly endorse Republican House of Representatives Candidate Harriet Hageman from Wyoming who is running against warmonger and disloyal Republican, Liz Cheney,” Trump said in his endorsement.
Hageman recently poked fun at Cheney’s “Hollywood” endorsement of Kevin Costner, who posed for a picture wearing a Liz Cheney t-shirt.
“Yellowstone is a good show, but Kevin Costner is a pretend rancher in a Hollywood production shot mostly in Montana, not Wyoming,” Hageman said, referring to Costner’s current acting role. “And I’d bet that if he had to work a real ranch for a day, he’d call his agent to get him out of there.”
