Mark Ruffalo, who is an American actor and activist, addressed negative review for the She-Hulk by saying they came from users who were either racist or resentful that the film was led by women.

Ruffalo quoted an article from ScreenRant on Twitter to make his point.

“The rise in bad-faith IMDb reviews, particularly for projects led by women and/or BIPOC, threatens to render the site’s scores meaningless if the problem is not addressed,” the article stated. “The current IMDb policy leaves the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as women and BIPOC working in film and television particularly vulnerable to unnecessary vitriol and harassment.”

However, one user hit back at Ruffalo by giving examples of both female and minority led movies which were successful. “Women: The Alien franchise Bipoc: Blade, Black Panther It’s almost like audiences prefer good stuff over bad stuff.”

Tatiania Masley plays the role of Jennifer Waters in “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” who is the cousin of Bruce Banner, played by Ruffalo.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiered on streaming services on August 18, 2022 and consists of 9 episodes. The final episode will be aired on October 13, 2022.

The Daily Write reported that in June 2017, Ruffalo hit out at the “white conservatives” he said NBC and MSNBC had hired. Ruffalo gave a link to a petition insisting that NBC executives “stop the white conservative hiring spree.”

“Tell NBC executives: Stop the white conservative hiring spree at MSNBC,” the petition stated. “NBC had troubling ties to Trump during the presidential campaign and gave the racist sexual predator a national platform. Now MSNBC, too, is tilting to the right.”
