Mike Lindell, who is the CEO of MyPillow, told the StarTribune in an interview that he was recently surrounded by FBI agents who seized his cell phone.

Lindell recalled driving through a Hardee’s drive-thru in Mankato on Tuesday night and suddenly being faced with FBI agents who demanded that he hand over his phone.

“A car pulled perpendicular in front of me. Another one to my right. Another one came up behind me, all different kinds of cars,” Lindell said. “I opened the door, I said ‘Who are you people?’ And they said, ‘We’re the FBI.’”

“They surrounded me at a Hardee’s and took my phone that I run all my business, everything with,” he said. “What they have done is weaponize the FBI, it’s disgusting. I don’t have a computer, that phone, everything was on everybody.”

Lindell said he was returning home from a duck-hunting trip in Iowa when he stopped to grab some food. In a nearly 40-minute interview, he lashed out both Republicans and Democrats, the government, and the media.

Lindell said that the agents questioned him about Dominion Voting Systems and a Colorado clerk, Tina Peters who has been charged in what prosecutors have dubbed a “deceptive scheme” to breach voting system technology used nationwide.

In a later interview with CNN, Lindell said he was perplexed as to why the FBI were asking questions about Peters, as he believed they were about to serve him a subpoena as part of the committee investigation into the January 6th riots.

“I said, ‘Come on, bring me to January 6. I want to be part of that show,’” he said he told them. “They thought they were there to intimidate me. They won’t intimidate me. I want to say this for the record, they were pretty nice guys. None of them had an attitude.”
