New York Times Poll: Democrats leading in 3 of 4 key races

Republicans have recently enjoyed a boost in the Senate race across several key states, however according to The New York Times’ final midterm poll, Democrats remain favorites to retain control of the Senate.
The poll, which was released on Monday shows Democratic candidates in Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia looking likely to hold off the challenge from their Republican challengers.
Incumbent senators Mark Kelly of Arizona and Raphael Warnock of Georgia are both ahead of their Republican opponents, Blake Masters and Herschel Walker, at 54 to 51 percent and 49 to 46 percent, respectively.
Pennsylvania’s Democratic candidate John Fetterman also has a 49 to 44 percent lead over Republican Mehmet Oz, although this survey was conducted before the debate between Oz and Fetterman, in which Fetterman’s health issues were thrust in into the spotlight.
In Nevada, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto is tied with Adam Laxalt, tied at 47 percent. As of Monday, FiveThirtyEight shows gives Masto a slender lead of 0.4%.
The Times’ chief political analyst Nate Cohn noted that all is not yet said and done and, “As we head down the stretch, Republicans can hope to lure some of these voters to their side.”
Republicans would need to flip one seat to take control of the Senate.
