Prince Harry accuses royal family of ‘planting stories’ in docuseries trailer
A brand new trailer was released Monday for the forthcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix docuseries and it strongly hints that there is animosity between Harry and Meghan and The UK Monarchy.
“There’s a hierarchy of the family,” Prince Harry says in the “Harry & Meghan” trailer. “You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.”
“There was a war against Meghan to suit other people’s agendas,” a journalist says in the trailer, as reported by the New York Post. Another person adds: “It’s about hatred, it’s about race.”
Back in 2020, Harry and Meghan made the decision to leave their roles British royal family and announced they would be “stepping back as ‘senior’ members.”
“The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy,” Harry says in the trailer, adding: “I was terrified. I didn’t want history to repeat itself.”
According to Netflix’s description of the series, “Harry & Meghan” focuses primarily on how the couple “fell in love, got married, had children, and built a life based on shared values and mutual support of each other’s work and ambitions.”
The description continued, “Harry & Meghan is an unprecedented six-part documentary series that explores the span of their relationship, from the early days of the couple’s courtship to the challenges and controversies that prompted them to step back from the royal family.”
“The series includes interviews with family and friends who’ve never spoken publicly about the couple’s relationship before, as well as historians and journalists who dissect how media influenced Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family and the Commonwealth at large.”
The first three episodes will debut on Dec. 8 and episodes 4-6 will be released on Dec. 15.
