Nephew of JFK praises Tucker Carlson’s report on CIA’s alleged involvement in murder of his uncle
Robert J. Kennedy Jr. recently praised a report from Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in which a source who had access to sealed government documents regarding the JFK assassination said the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was largely involved the 1963 murder plot.
“The most courageous newscast in 60 years. The CIA’s murder of my uncle was a successful coup d’état from which our democracy has never recovered,” RFK Jr. tweeted Saturday, linking to a YouTube video of Carlson’s report.
As Carlson noted, the 1992 President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act required that all documents regarding the assassination of former president Kennedy must be made public by 2017.
However, former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden have both kept the documents from being released on time. 13,000 documents were recently released but thousands of the files are either fully or partially redacted.
Citing a source “who was deeply familiar” with the contents of the documents that remain unreleased and redacted, Carlson said: “We asked this person directly, ‘Did the CIA have a hand in the murder of John F. Kennedy, an American President?’ And here’s the reply we received verbatim. Quote, ‘The answer is yes. I believe they were involved. It’s a whole different country from what we thought it was. It’s all fake.’”
“It’s hard to imagine a more jarring response than that,” Carlson said. He also dismissed any claims that his source was anything but reputable.
“Again, this is not a ‘conspiracy theorist’ that we spoke to… This is someone with direct knowledge of the information that once again is being withheld from the American public. And the answer we received was unequivocal. Yes, the CIA was involved in the assassination of the president,” Carlson said.
He continued, “Now, some people will not be surprised to hear that, they suspected it all along. But no matter how you feel about it or what you thought about the Kennedy assassination, pause to consider what this means.”
“It means that within the U.S. government, there are forces wholly beyond democratic control,” Carlson said, suggesting that they can “affect election outcomes … hide their complicity in the murder of an American president … they can do pretty much anything they want.”
