Kevin Costner’s Lawyer Shuts Down ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Production Drama Claims
Kevin Costner’s attorney gave his opinion on the speculation that the ‘Yellowstone’ star was delaying production for season give.
Costner’s attorney Marty Singer said the speculation was complete fiction.
“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season five of Yellowstone is an absolute lie,” the attorney shared with Puck.News.
Singer’s comments were prompted by an exposé published February 21st on the outlet’s website accusing Costner of unprofessional behavior.
Singer also added that the accusations were “ridiculous,” adding, “and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for one second.”
“As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show,” Singer continue, “and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success.”
Deadline also reported on February 6th that Costner stipulated that he would only shoot for 50 days for season 5. This is in addition to him having allegedly already limited himself to 65 days for filming Yellowstone. Costner reportedly only wanted to spend a week on set for the second batch of episodes.
A Paramount spokesman shot down these claims in a statement.
“We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner.”
