Authorities arrest suspect who shot at, ran from police

Authorities have been able to subdue a suspect, who was wanted for carjacking, after he opened fire on officers.
The suspect fired on police officers in three different counties during the pursuit, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
Chino Hills Police Department confirmed that the started following a hit-and-run incident. The suspect then carjacked a vehicle at a nearby gas station.
The police then pursued the suspect on CA-91 into Anaheim.
In the vicinity of Anaheim, the suspect then shot at police, with the police believed was an AR-15. The police then returned fire.
The chase then made its way onto Long Beach and then Harbor City. The driver shot three more times, shattering both his front and back windshields, while driving through crowded streets in Harbor City.
The suspects erratic driving continued as he sped through surface streets, found himself on the wrong side of the road and ran red lights.
The suspect nearly hit another driver and reportedly flashed his weapon at a bystander.
The chase came to an end after the suspect crashed into a Los Angeles School Police Department car near intersection of Western Avenue and 253rd Street in Harbor City.
The suspect did attempt to evade law enforcement and appeared to be looking for another vehicle to jack. He was unable to do this and was tacked by law enforcement officers.
Officers confirmed that the suspect was not armed when he was arrested.
