Hurricane Sandy wasn’t the only October storm to do damage in NJ and other states. Unlike Sandy, this storm wasn’t predicted and no one saw it coming – although perhaps they should have.

Chris Christie’s October Surprise

Governor Christie’s lambastic demeanor is often newsworthy. But his “softer” side may be far more treacherous. If a picture is worth a thousand words, NJ’s Big Daddy painted a mural the size of the Sistine Chapel last week when he walked the Jersey Shore with his new buddy, Barack Hussein Obama. The Governor (by no means a political neophyte) labeled questions about his slobbering affection for his Party’s chief opposition as “silly.” But his actions no doubt influenced undecided voters. Pictures do paint a thousand words. This picture painted the man now occupying the White House as a leader and someone who is able to work with the opposition. The artist, Chris Christie, may refuse to sign his name to this particular piece of work but the credit goes to him without question.

NJ’s Big Daddy and artist extraordinaire has also proved quite a dancer, too. After he provided the October Surprise all pundits were anticipating, he taught independents how to sway and the rest of the country how to rock and reel.

Of course, this wasn’t the first surprise the dance master and artist extraordinaire delivered. The Republican Convention provided a glimpse into the self-aggrandizing cabalist’s duplicitous nature. When the Governor stepped up to the microphone, everyone expecting him to land at least one punch to the Obama campaign didn’t see a party warrior. They saw a small man with an ego as large as his girth attempting to steal Romney’s thunder. Perhaps his attempt failed that night but it didn’t fail on his home turf – the Jersey Shore.

Of course, NJ was never in play for Governor Romney. That is not the point. The point is that the picture of Governor Christie praising Obama for a job well done, made Mr. Obama look presidential and like a leader, something he was not able to accomplish throughout his four-year term. Was it enough to sway the election? Only God knows but this writer finds it more than disturbing. If Governor Romney considered Governor Christie a supporter and friend, then I must ask, with friends like that…
