Christie gets choice seat at ball

Editor’s Note: after Governor Chris Christie expanded Medicaid in New Jersey, The Eagle told CNAV that Christie was seeking new alliances on the Progressive Left. The Eagle said he hoped he was wrong. Today Dwight Kehoe shows that maybe The Eagle was correct.
Governor’s Ball 2013: NJ Governor Christie Gets Coveted Seat of Honor
The annual Governor’s Ball held at the White House, as with any and all political events traditionally indicates the position of hierarchy of the attendees by the seating arrangement. The closer to the President and his inner circle a person is assigned to sit, the most endearing the prestige. For example it has been reported that Governor Scott Walker’s table was just behind the slop sink in utility closet number 3.
As the evening went on, Christie and Michelle shared not only conversations, and eyelash batting smiles, but also a toast. Regardless of Christie’s comments several months ago about his hug fest with Obama, after Hurricane Sandy, having had no effect on the election, it’s quite clear Michelle “ain’t havin’ none of that ” and appears to be quite appreciative of our good Governor. A news flash for the Governor. New Jersey voters aren’t either.
Just speculation, but she could be thanking Christie here for giving her the opportunity to continue four more years of globetrotting extravagant vacations on the tax payer’s dime.
For his part, Obama remarked how proud he was of the New Jersey Governor for his efforts in the aftermath of the mega storm. Translation: “Thanks bro for that excellent sound bite opportunity, it could not have come at a better time”.
Finally, in the Reuters graphic above, there is no truth that the Governor and Michelle have moved their chairs a little too closely together. This may just be a result of “position overflow”.
