Abortion hits its endpoint
Earlier this week the world saw a side of Planned Parenthood it didn’t like. The Center for Medical Progress sent a team, posing as human organ buyers, to solicit Planned Parenthood’s medical director on that subject. She seems to have surprised no one. (Well, perhaps she surprised the worthies at The Washington Post. They now feel the need to defend her in print.) She talked freely of the latest sideline of the abortion industry: selling parts of the bodies of the unborn children who die in their clinics.
The top abortion doctor speaks
The CMP shot about two and three-quarters hours of footage. This they condensed to an eight-minute program. CNAV embedded both below.
Dr. Deborah Nucatola discusses this abortion sideline over dinner and fine wine. Kevin D. Williamson at National Review could not help but think of novelist Thomas Harris, and his most famous villain (or perhaps anti-hero), Dr. Hannibal Lecter. One can understand that, especially when Dr. Nucatola freely says, “A lot of people want liver.” Meaning: she has other clients, and the livers of unborn children sell well. And briskly.
These livers, and other organs, do not come from early abortions. They can only come from a late-term or partial-birth abortion. The abortionists even take care with their work: to “crush” above or below the chest and abdomen, but never on top of it. So Dr. Nucatola says.
CNAV (and other listeners) first heard these words three days ago. Most who heard it (including us), thought someone was playing a sick joke. But one does not shoot two hours and forty-three minutes of footage, to make a joke! The Dino DeLaurentiis Corporation should call CMP to talk movie rights. Kevin Williamson thought Nucatola did a good impression of Hannibal Lecter? Anthony Hopkins should take alarm. She cleans his clock on savage urbanity. If the main subject matter does not shock you, the in-between small talk will. CNAV compares these to the “crime questions” and “control questions” on a lie-detector test.
Abortion values
Lay aside for a moment that Dr. Nucatola admitted to a federal felony. (Federal law forbids people to traffic in human tissue.) Lay aside the technical evasion Planned Parenthood uses to try to set up a defense against such a charge. Technicalities don’t matter. Values matter.
Abortion comes from a value system. Abortion, in fact, makes its own morality. Ayn Rand defined the phrase “code of morality” as “a code of values [one accepts] by choice.” Rand also defined value:
Value presupposes an answer to the question, “Of value to whom, and for what?” Value presupposes a standard.
Abortion can have only one standard of value: convenience. It begins with the convenience of a woman who falls pregnant and does not want to see it through. (Or more likely, the man who made her pregnant to begin with.) And of course, something remains, of which one must dispose. One can dispose of early remains easily enough. Late-term remains present a problem. So, why not put those remains to practical use?
Only one thing should surprise us about the Nucatola “discourse.” What took people so long to admit this sort of thing goes on? This article at ClinicQuotes described the sale of abortion remains almost three years ago.
But now someone has brought it into the open. And not on a movie set, either. The spectacle of Dr. Nucatola discussing how to sell abortion remains so casually, shocked the former and even the current head of Planned Parenthood. Only what truly shocked them? That someone sells “leftovers” from abortion? Or that someone talks about it?
Yesterday, Governor Rick Perry forced Mark Halperin of MSNBC to comment on the CMP footage. Halperin lamely said, “I think the video raises a lot of questions and you and others have raised them.” Sure we have. But no one listened. Until now.
Too bad seven members of the Supreme Court of the United STates did not listen, more than forty years ago. Now see what.

how did you come up with your Sodahead name?
“Temlakos” is the Greek perfect active participle for a verb that means “I take care of [something].” The name “Temlakos” means “caretaker.” The Apocalypse of Peter mentions women bleeding from abortion–and names “Angelos Temlakos” as the caretaker of the souls of aborted children.
Thanks for explaining.
