Ginni Thomas, who is the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas, appeared in front of the January 6 committee on Thursday for an interview behind closed doors.

Thomas was seen on CCTV cameras entering the room at 9.30am and then departing at 2pm.

Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) said after the interview had concluded that Ginni Thomas still harbors some belief that the 2020 election was stolen, bit did answer “some” questions.

Thompson said that during the 1-hour period he was in the room, Ginni Thomas didn’t refuse to answer any questions.

In a statement, Ginni Thomas’ attorney, Mark Paoletta, said she “answered all the Committee’s questions” and “was happy to cooperate with the Committee to clear up the misconceptions about her activities surrounding the 2020 elections.”

Thomas has found herself under the spotlight for both her marriage to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and for her allegedly trying to influence the 2020 election.

Records obtained by ABC News earlier this year showed that Ginni Thomas emailed Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers and Arizona state Rep. Shawnna Bolick, urging them to “fight back against fraud” a matter of days after the November 2020 election.

Paoletta remained steadfast in his belief when making a statement and said that Thomas has “condemned the violence on January 6, as she abhors violence on any side of the aisle.”

“As she has said from the outset, Mrs. Thomas had significant concerns about fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election,” Paoletta said. “And, as she told the Committee, her minimal and mainstream activity focused on ensuring that reports of fraud and irregularities were investigated. Beyond that, she played no role in any events after the 2020 election results.”

Thomas has also addressed this herself by saying that her political activities cause no conflict of interest with the work of her husband Clarence.

“Like so many married couples, we share many of the same ideals, principles, and aspirations for America. But we have our own separate careers, and our own ideas and opinions too. Clarence doesn’t discuss his work with me, and I don’t involve him in my work,” Thomas said during an interview with The Washington Free Beacon.

The January 6 committee is expected to release a final report later this year with its findings and recommendations.
