John Tyson, who is the CFO of Tyson Foods, has been arrested after he reportedly entered a random woman’s house while intoxicated and slept in her bed.

Tyson, 32, was found sleeping in the woman’s home in the 400 block of North Mock Avenue in Fayetteville at 2:05 a.m. local time on Sunday, according to police. Tyson’s headquarters are located in Springdale, which is approximately 10 miles northeast of Fayetteville.

The woman, who was in her early 20s according to the arrest report, called the police about what she thought was a robbery, saying she had accidently left the front door unlocked and when she got back home, she found “a male she did not know asleep in her bed.”

An police officer found Tyson’s clothes on the floor and was able to identify him after finding ID in his wallet.

The officer proceeded to wake up Tyson, who did sit up in bed, but did not respond verbally, according to the report. The report said that after sitting up, Tyson laid back down again and attempted to go back to sleep.

The officer said Tyson had a strong smell of alcohol on him and that his movements were “sluggish and uncoordinated.”

After the officers were able to ascertain that Tyson had not been invited to stay at the home and none of the residents were able to identify him, he was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and public intoxication, authorities confirmed.

Tyson was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on $415 bond. He was released Sunday evening. Tyson’s first court appearance will be on Dec. 1.

John Tyson joined Tyson foods in 2019 and is both their Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Tyson Foods said they had been informed about his arrest but refused to comment further as it was a “personal matter.”
