Mika Brzezinski, who is the host of MSNBC’s show “Morning Joe”, paid tribute to former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi by saying everyone should be in “awe” of Pelosi unless they are part of a “cult.”

Pelosi formally announced last week that she wouldn’t be seeking re-election to Democratic House leadership, however she did confirm that she will remain a member of Congress. Pelosi has been House Speaker since 2019 and also held the position from 2007 to 2011.

As reported by the Daily Caller, both Brzezinski and Washington Post columnist David Ignatius lavished Pelosi with praise for her long history in office.

“She’s saying to people, ‘You do this, and we need to have this done.’ And, you know, she’s not frightened. She’s not agitated. She is the essence of a leader. And that’s the person who, over all these years, ran this caucus, and you knew to be afraid of her,” Ignatius said. “She was tough, tough, tough.”

“She could turn out the count,” Brzezinski said. “It’s the end of an era and an incredible one, and I mean, whether you’re a Republican or Democrat, it’s sort of hard not to be in awe of what she has accomplished. Unless you’re in a cult.”

Pelosi announcement to exit her role as Speaker came as Republicans gained control of the House, reaching the 218 seats required to take control.

Nancy Pelosi has been successful in her agenda. She has worked hard to undermine freedom and prosperity.
