The house of the late Betty White in Los Angeles has been demolished nearly a year after her death.

White’s former assistant, Kiersten Mikelas, posted on White’s Instagram on Sunday announcing that the house was demolished, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“This is such a busy time of year and coming up on the anniversary of Betty’s passing is hitting in ways I hadn’t anticipated,” the post said. “Her Brentwood home is no more.”

According to the LA Times, the house was listed as a teardown and the new property owners were allowed to demolish it as soon as they purchased the property – which they initially planned to do months ago.

The house was listed in April for $10.575 million. The house sold in June for $10.678 million, according to People Magazine.

The house was purchased by White and her husband, Allen Ludden, in the 1960s. With slightly over 3,000 square feet, the house had five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and a swimming pool.

White had a vacation house in Carmel, California, which sold in April for $10.775 million.

White died on Dec. 31, 2021, at the age of 99. She was one of the first female television producers and talk show hosts. She was also one of the stars of “Golden Girls.”
