Democrat Rep. Cori Bush calls Black Republican Rep. Byron Donalds a ‘prop’
Republican Rep. Byron Donalds has shot back at his Democrat colleague, Rep. Cori Bush, who called him a “prop” and implied that he has betrayed his race by supporting the Republican agenda.
“FWIW, @ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy,” Bush, a representative of Missouri, tweeted on Wednesday.
She added, “His name being in the mix is not progress—it’s pathetic.”
Donalds, a representative of Florida, responded to Bush, saying: “@CoriBush, if you see a Black man rise, let the man rise even if you disagree with them. I’d be happy to sit down and debate our policies one on one whenever you’d like. As a Black man to a Black woman, I’d never do that to you. It’s a shame you did it to me.”
Bush’s attack on Donalds came as he was attempting to subvert Kevin McCarthy in the race for House Speaker – which McCarthy eventually won after getting rejected 15 times.
Democrats, meanwhile, have chosen Rep. Hakeem Jeffries to lead their party as the House Minority Leader.

When people look at the real history it was the Blacks who bought into the lies of the “Left” in the 1970s that have destroyed Black prosperity and ability to stand on their own. Until Blacks wake up the agenda of the “Left” and its targeting of Blacks Blacks will continue to be destroyed. Look at how the Black family has been destroyed.
