Pfizer denies, YouTube blocks video alleging virus experiments
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals denied reports that they conduct directed evolution research on SARS-CoV-2. YouTube blocked a video showing this.
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals last night denied doing gain-of-function or directed evolution research on the novel coronavirus.
Pfizer releases a statement
The company released this statement at 8:00 p.m. EST Friday in response to a video by Project Veritas. In it, Dr. Jordon Trishton Walker, over several drinks, boasted that Pfizer had decided to mutate SARS-CoV-2 themselves. They did this so they could pro-actively develop vaccines for the mutant strains. Dr. Walker further boasted that its vaccine against the virus would be the company’s “cash cow.”
SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome/Corona Virus Strain Two) is the causative agent of Corona-Virus Disease of 2019, abbreviated COVID-19.
The Pfizer statement reads in relevant part:
In the ongoing development of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer has not conducted gain of function or directed evolution research. Working with collaborators, we have conducted research where the original SARS-CoV-2 virus has been used to express the spike protein from new variants of concern. This work is undertaken once a new variant of concern has been identified by public health authorities. This research provides a way for us to rapidly assess the ability of an existing vaccine to induce antibodies that neutralize a newly identified variant of concern. We then make this data available through peer reviewed scientific journals and use it as one of the steps to determine whether a vaccine update is required.
The ongoing saga of the video
Project Veritas originally uploaded the video in question to YouTube, Rumble, and Twitter. YouTube, last night, took down the video and “struck” the Project Veritas account. This “strike” means Project Veritas may not upload anything to YouTube for seven days. Three “strikes” will bring about a permanent “termination.”
But the video remains available for viewing on Rumble,
and on Twitter, where it has received twenty million views as of 9:39 p.m. EST Friday.
Project Veritas also reported that a source inside Pfizer sent them information confirming that Dr. Walker is on Pfizer’s payroll. He carries the title of Director of Research and Development, Strategic Operations and mRNA Scientific Planning.
Following the strike, Project Veritas issued this threaded couplet:
James O’Keefe himself made this statement:
Whereupon Rumble affirmed that they would not take down the copy of the video on their site.
