shooting that occurred early on Tuesday morning in a downtown Louisville, Kentucky, bank has so far left 4 people dead and at least 9 injured, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

The shooting took place around 8:30 am in a downtown location of Old National Bank. According to LMPD, police arrived on scene while the shooter was still active, and proceeded to exchange gunfire with the suspect. The suspect was neutralized at the scene and nine people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

Officials confirmed hours after the shooting that the suspect was deceased, though it remains unclear whether it was the result of officer fire or a self-inflicted wound. LMPD also confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that the suspect was a former employee of the bank, whose motive remains unknown at this time.

A police officer who responded to the shooting is in critical condition and undergoing surgery, according to CNN. Three patients had been discharged from the University of Louisville Hospital after being treated for gunshot wounds, according to the hospital. The Associated Press reports two of the victims who died in the shooting were personal friends of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

The incident marked the 14th mass shooting in the United States since January 1, according to data collected by the Gun Violence Archive. So far this year, 4,921 Americans have lost their lives to gun violence inflicted by another person.

And what people need to remember, or learn, is that this is the result of the “Left” ideology. Think about the promotion of “the ends justifies the means”, “if it feels good do it”, and other things the “Left” has been promoting for decades on people.
