Biden admits selling State secrets – video

Yesterday afternoon, video emerged of Joe Biden telling the Prime Minister of India that he “sold… State secrets.”

What did Biden say?

Biden was at the time sitting in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and senior executive officers of several high-technology companies. India is a known favorite location for remote call centers and “help desks,” as any frequent technology user knows. During that meeting, he started to mumble:

Okay. We — I was just thanking the — anyway, I started off without you, and I sold a lot of state secrets and a lot of very important things that we shared. President Biden

That excerpt is clearly audible on video making the rounds from multiple servers on the Internet. It also is a verbatim quote from an official White House transcript.

The transcript shows the President’s remarks continuing with the phrase “all kidding aside,” and then with his main point. But the transcript also shows the President pausing repeatedly, as if trying to maintain a train of thought while speaking.

Multiple Twitter and Telegram users were sharing this video this morning. Intel Republic shared the video, and added this caption:

Did he realise the mic was on? Judging by the reaction, India’s Prime Minister Modi did not expect such revelations!

Intel Republic is one of several pro-Russian Telegram channels who have taken several opportunities to hold Biden up to ridicule.

We Love Trump Report carried the story, too, along with Headline USA, The First, and Todd Starnes’ blog. The Twitter account RNC Research dropped this thread:

One person, after listening to the video itself, immediately disputed the transcript’s reference to “laughter.” And in fact, the video contains what could be laughter. But it sounds like nervous laughter, and not the hearty laughter of one hearing a joke and “getting” it.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Ga.) did not hesitate to seize on the video as evidence of Biden’s befuddlement.

The White House released this six-minute video beginning with the confusing mumble and continuing with Biden’s further remarks.
