Kamala Harris buys and receives fake news
Kamala Harris has no “organic” appeal, so she must literally buy social-media posts and celebrity appearances.
Kamala Harris, as CNAV noted last week, is already losing whatever appeal she might have had. So she is buying, or receiving an in-kind contribution of, “fake news” to make her appeal look good. What started with downplaying the attempt on Donald Trump’s life has escalated to a full-blown propaganda campaign. And besides the in-kind contribution of voluntary distortion of the news, the Harris campaign has been directly buying influence. The only remaining question – besides whether this will work and what tricks their retained counsel “Dewey, Cheetham and Howe” (apologies to CarTalk.com) have up their sleeves, is: where’s the money coming from?
Big Tech in-kind gifts to Harris
The first reports surfaced about two weeks after the assassination attempt on Donald J. Trump. Google’s autocomplete feature, intended as an aid in searching, suppressed any phrase pairing Trump’s name with the keyphrase “assassination attempt.” Today all of Alphabet’s properties, including YouTube, want to promote the attempted assassination of Harry S. Truman instead. The New York Post made that its cover story – and the cover featured Trump’s iconic fist-pumping “Fight!” picture, with the legend RIG TECH!
Elon Musk posted this graphic of the top twenty employers of contributors to the Trump and Biden campaigns in 2020. Alphabet topped the list for Biden – and even the twentieth ranking donor employer for Biden exceeded the top donor-employer for Trump (the U.S. Postal Service).
Meta, too, made such a contribution. They disallowed all copies of the “Fight!” picture, labeling it fiction. Then when X users caught it,
Meta blamed their artificial-intelligence retouch detector for the foul-up. Meta’s communications director explained – sort of:
Last Friday (August 2), independent podcaster Tulsi Gabbard appeared on Joe Rogan’s show to denounce MSNBC as a “propaganda machine.” She raised an issue that misrepresented Rogan himself. By cobbling together two clips of Rogan talking about Kamala Harris, they made him appear to be supporting her – when he does not.
Gabbard regarded that as an in-kind contribution, which violates federal election law. Paul Ingrassia identified another: selective application of the “Google Doodle,” and manipulating its engine search results.
Cash buys, small and large
Also on Friday, Rachel Stevenson at Patriot Newsfeed reported a scheme to buy influence on TikTok. Apparently, as soon as Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris, influencers flooded TikTok with old clips intended to portray her as a comedienne. Then some of those influencers shared that someone paid them to post those clips. They named a company calling itself “LaunchViral”, and said they laid out guidelines for how to post – for $150 a pop. Some influencers were outraged,
$150 is chicken feed for any individual, but any such influence buying definitely breaks federal law. The problem is that the enforcement apparatus is in the hands of the Democratic Party.
Jim Hoft at The Gateway Pundit reported on a much larger influence buy. Apparently the Democratic National Committee will pay several influencers a whopping fee of $20,000 to attend the Democratic National Convention. Dom Lucre, “Breaker of Narratives,” dropped a three-post thread with this information:
All the DNC asks is that each influencer or celebrity post to social media at least once, and attend the Convention for at least one night. That could explain a new report that Beyoncé will “do something” for Harris.
But no one is asking: where is all that money coming from? Who is drawing the big checks to pay either those $150 individual fees, or the $20,000 A-list fees? No one knows, or will admit.
RINO recruitment
Separately, the Harris campaign launched “Republicans for Harris,” as Christina Laila of TGP reported last night (August 4). Byron York shared a photo of a print article covering the launch.
The article includes a list of names, most of which seem unimpressive. Other names, like Adam Kinzinger and former Govs. William Weld (R-Mass.) and Christine Todd Whitman (R-N.J.), are the kind of names one should expect. None of them were very impressive as office holders, and all are part of the original Republican establishment. In short, these names come from the ‘Uniparty wing” of the Republican Party – or the Republican wing of the Uniparty.
President Trump showed good understanding of the larger issue in the Truth he posted in response:
….We have to purge the Party of people that go against our Candidates, and make it harder for a popular Republican President to beat the Radical Left Lunatics. Geoff Duncan is a loser who is disintegrating on his own. Congratulations to Josh McKoon for purging our Party of Misfits and people that don’t want to see us succeed!
Trump also has taken time lately to call out Gov. Brian Kemp (RINO-Ga.) and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (RINO-Ga.) for their inaction during the Election of 2020, and apparent slow-walking of cleaning up the voter rolls in 2024. The two have denied either wrongdoing or malice – but their denials are singularly unconvincing.
More bad news for Harris
In the meantime, Kamala Harris gets more bad news every week, if not every day. First, the RealClearPolling Average shows Trump in the lead, by 0.8 percent. Four years ago, Biden was ahead by 6.4 percent – and eight years ago, Hillary Clinton was ahead by 6.8 percent. The four polls showing Harris ahead, all have a credibility problem. Chief among them: the Daily Kos, the project of Markos Moulitsas-Zuniga, who for decades has wanted to be Secretary of Information for an ultra-left regime. (And CNAV is not talking about technology.)
Second, stock markets worldwide are crashing. Someone – the world presumes it was Mossad (“The Institute”) or Shin Bet (“House of Security”) from Israel – decapitated the HAMAS and Hezbollah high commands by killing their respective commanders. This happened in Teheran, which doubly infuriated the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Accordingly, they’re going to war, if they haven’t at time of posting. Add a disastrous jobs report to the mix, and even the Big Boys don’t want to be invested in anything. With one exception: the nation’s armorers. Valuations of Lockheed-Martin and other “defense contractors” are through the roof; all other securities are selling off.
The Republican National Committee is calling this the Kamala Crash.
So is Trump.
Of course there is a massive market downturn. Kamala is even worse than Crooked Joe. Markets will NEVER accept the Radical Left Lunatic that DESTROYED San Francisco and California, as a whole. Next move, THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 2024! You can’t play games with MARKETS. KAMALA CRASH!!!
Gene Sperling, President Biden’s senior economic adviser, has resigned, and will work for the Harris campaign. Biden, in a statement, gave him a ridiculously hearty sendoff, especially as his praises of Sperling make no sense.
Analysis
Someone – maybe George Soros (what other individual has that kind of money?), maybe the Communist Chinese – is trying to buy Kamala Harris’ way to the White House. But some of the fees on offer are insultingly small for an activity that could break election laws. Perhaps also, some people don’t want to support someone like Harris, whom they find incompetent at best. In any case, the country wasn’t supposed to know any of this at this stage of the campaign.
Nor was Trump supposed to be polling ahead at the beginning of August. He didn’t poll that well in 2016, and he still won.
But a stock market crash, and a war that everyone knows would not have happened under Trump’s watch, definitely was supposed to wait until after the election. Those two dire events are breaking now. Today. This instant. As a result, millions of people are hearing the hollow crack of broken promises.
The Democratic National Convention begins in two weeks. Allegedly, Kamala Harris has narrowed her choice of running mate to three names. They are Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.),
Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.),
and Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-Pa.).
Each man has his own drawbacks – but none are as serious as those affecting Harris herself. Which leaves her with her favorite law firm: Dewey, Cheetham and Howe.
