In a September 4th interview with KKTV, Obama was asked to rate his presidency. He gave himself an “Incomplete,” according to The Hill. Nice side-step, but was it enough spin to turn attention away from his lack of positive accomplishments?

Obama and his dubious accomplishments

Few can argue that there have been accomplishments. But they would be hard-pressed to argue that these accomplishments, which include increasing the deficit to a whopping $16 Trillion, are positive in any way, shape or form. And in all fairness, he did create jobs but those jobs would be government jobs and jobs overseas. Americans for Prosperity’s recent ad on outsourcing makes the point rather well.

Obama deserves II for Incredibly Incompetent

Personally, I would rate this man with either an “II” – standing for Incredibly Incompetent or an “IH” standing for Incredibly Hypocritical. His Incomplete rating can be judged Incredibly Incompetent when considering his attempt to present a budget to Congress. The Administration’s plan failed to gain one vote in the House, where it was defeated by a vote of 414 to 0; a vote that was unanimous among Republican and Democrats alike. Not even one person from Obama’s own Party voted for his budget! When the budget made its way to the Senate, it failed unanimously as well – and once again that means Republicans as well as Democrats voted against it – unanimously. To enjoy a consensus like this among such a fractured group would mean that either the plan was incredibly ingenious or incredibly incompetent. Since it failed, it is fair to say the plan, as well as the man proposing it, was incredibly incompetent.

Obama Incredibly Hypocritical

Of course it can be judged Incredibly Hypocritical if you consider that this Administration’s campaign criticizes the Romney/Ryan ticket for not articulating detailed financial plans. While Romney/Ryan detailed as much of their plan as was appropriate during Convention speeches, it is indisputable that the details that were submitted to the House and Senate by Obama were unanimously rejected. Is it hypocritical to criticize lack of details when one’s own details are woefully lacking? The answer to that question can be argued, but personally I say it’s at the very least hypocritical and more accurately – incredibly incompetent. Therefore, I will agree that Obama deserves an “I”, but I will add that “I” should be doubled to mean Incredibly Incompetent.
