Eric Holder Resigns

Published

on

Eric Holder, Obama’s attack-dog Attorney General, resigned today. Everyone knows this by now. He decided it suddenly and with about six hours’ warning. But he did not say why he resigned. He has four possible reasons for resigning. All have to do with his hostility to the Constitution. They also reflect his desire, that Obama shares, to “fundamentally transform” the United States of America.

At twenty minutes to eleven o’clock this morning, National Public Radio’s Morning Edition broke the story on Twitter:

Christine Rousselle at Townhall.com first repeated these tweets. He also repeated this tweet from Noah Rothman at Hot Air:

MSNBC had some idle speculation (or maybe not so idle) that Deval Patrick would get the nomination to replace him:

But de facto President Obama has not nominated Deval Patrick or anyone else at time of posting.

More to the point, Eric Holder did not answer the most important question:

Why did Eric Holder resign?

Mr. Rothman “tweeted” the truth: Attorneys General rarely, if ever, serve the two full terms of the Presidents who appoint them. But Mr. Rothman should express no surprise that Eric Holder lasted this long. He has acted in the most partisan way that any Attorney General has acted. Why else did Barack Obama appoint him?

Today he spoke of his most significant fight: to keep a lawless status quo that lets his fellow Democrats vote the dead and the moved-out. He did not mention any of the scandals that attach to him. Maybe because he does not see anything scandalous about them.

WND has two guesses for why Eric Holder resigned:

  1. He does not want to stay on the job as the IRS scandal heats up. Representative Steve Stockman (R-Texas) suggested that to Jerome Corsi and Garth Kant.

Holder knows the House is after him to produce his emails in the IRS scandal involving Lois Lerner. He wants to get out now, in the [fear] the Republicans control both the House and Senate after the November elections.

  1. A federal judge gave Eric Holder an ultimatum to answer a Freedom of Information Act request about Operation Fast and Furious. He probably doesn’t want to show what a hand he had in “throwing down” weapons south of the border, to excuse his confiscating (or trying to confiscate) guns north of the border.

Nick Purpura, a New Jersey Tea Party activist, called CNAV to give two more reasons:

  1. Eric Holder does not want to investigate the Benghazi scandal. If he does anything that can implicate Hillary Clinton in the deaths of Ambassador Stevens and those three other men, the Clinton machine will destroy him.
  2. Eric Holder wants to become Associate Justice Eric Holder of the Supreme Court of the United States. Purpura cited a rumor, which he could not confirm, that Mme. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would like to resign, probably on account of her failing health.

If option 4 above is at all likely, Mme. Justice Ginsburg might pull an “October Surprise” by resigning within two weeks. Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.) might then show how quickly he can make the Senate move on a judicial nomination.

Will you be using “de facto” to describe Republican presidents as well? Or will it only be for the black president? Of course you aren’t racist one single bit. *wink wink*

[…] all the investigations Eric Holder has blocked, held up, or refused to start. Of those, CNAV has named three: the IRS scandal, Operation Fast and Furious, and Benghazi. Norris names many others. These […]
