Vaccine mandate update – dissension

COVID Vaccine administration and vaccine mandate. Fully vaccinated - never

Readers will recall this discussion, with YouTube streams, of the vaccine mandate hearings in the U.S. Supreme Court. Since then, some key witnesses have hit the Sunday morning talk show circuit.

Vaccine mandate – Justicial narrative fails

And the first thing CNAV notices is: dissension is growing in the ranks!

Recall that Justice Sonia Sotomayor (who, by the way, did not even attend in person, but by a video conference link only) made several misstatements of fact. Among other things, she said:

  • 100,000 children languished in serious condition at the time of the hearing.
  • “Many” (an indefinable expression) children required mechanical ventilation by reason of COVID.
  • The vaccine prevents disease.
  • The Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 is as deadly as the Delta variant.
  • Deaths from COVID are at an all-time high.

In addition, Justice Stephen Breyer threw out a figure of 750 million new COVID cases the day before the hearing. To put that in perspective, the population of the United States now stands at 330 million.

Well, Rochelle Walensky, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), disputed those high child hospitalization figures. American Conservative carried the story. In an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News Sunday,

she admitted that the figure of 100,000 hospitalized children was inaccurate. In fact not more than 3,342 children were in hospital with COVID.

And we have this:

Walensky also noted that COVID hospitalizations are more common among patients who visit hospitals for other reasons and don’t test positive until they return home. She said that up to 40% of patients coming into hospitals with COVID have COVID, but it’s not because they are sick.

And still she supports vaccines for children

Despite that, the CDC director still urges every parent to vaccinate every child. She is selling a false narrative of her own: that the COVID vaccine is absolutely safe and absolutely effective. But she is no longer willing to say that COVID is absolutely case-lethal for children or adults at any age. Evidently, some lies are too big even for a CDC director to tell. But not, apparently, for Justices of the Supreme Court to tell.

Stephen Kruiser, at Pajamas Media, simply says the liberal contingent at the Supreme Court are cognitively impaired. CNAV disputes that. They know perfectly WELL what they are saying and doing. This sorry performance constitutes Justicial Kabuki theater. CNAV repeats its call to remove Sotomayor, Breyer, and Kagan JJ from the bench. They bring the Supreme Court into disrepute with their every act, and for that they rate removal by impeachment.

[…] As regular readers will remember, the first unraveling happened before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Two challenges to vaccine mandates from the President came before the Court last Friday. In oral arguments, Justice Sonia Sotomayor (not even physically present) utterly disgraced herself. She quoted figures for morbidity and mortality of COVID beyond any rational estimate. Within two days a Sunday morning talk-show host embarrassed the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by forcing her to admit that Justice Sotomayor’s figures were flawed. […]
