Missouri Attorney General says the left is trying to ‘remake America’ in an image of Karl Marx
On Sunday, the attorney general for Missouri, Eric Schmitt, who is also a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, cautioned conservatives, saying the Left is looking to “replace the Declaration of Independence with The Communist Manifesto.”
He added that they also want to “remake America in the image” of Karl Marx, who co-authored the 1848 political tract.
Schmitt made the remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference, which is an annual gathering of conservatives that was held in Orlando, Florida this year.
“If the Left wants to remake America, they’re going to have to take it from our cold, dead hands,” he said and later tweeted. Schmitt added “We’re in a fight to Save America” at the top of the tweet and “Let’s go fight. Let’s go win. Let’s go Brandon!” at the end of the tweet.
Although the attorney general did not go on to describe how Marx, a German philosopher who passed in 1883, is currently influencing modern United States politics, he has repeatedly warned against socialism and communism on his social media pages.
Schmitt, who so far has received the support of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, is known in the state for filing dozens of lawsuits, including many related to blocking the Biden administration for requiring vaccinations and school boards for enforcing mask mandates.
Other than Schmitt, another Missouri Senate candidate snagged a speaking appearance at the conference. Eric Greitens, who was at one time the state’s governor, spoke on Thursday.
In his speech, he was also extremely critical of “RINOs,” which are “Republicans in name only,” as well as the Left, which he described as an “enemy…actively trying to destroy our country.” Greitens is still leading the GOP field of candidates for Senate based on recent polling.

He is accurate in his assessment. And remember, the Pilgrims tried what Marx promote first and discovered how bad it was. Keep in mind Karl Marx’s family rejected him, from what I have read of his history, for his being lazy and leach. People should really learn who he was and then look at what he promoted has produced. In the end any country that had done what he promoted has produced a disaster where one has dictators and slaves.
