Gabbard v. Romney – biological warfare
This morning, Tulsi Gabbard followed up on her accusation about American biological weapons development laboratories in Ukraine.
Well, that didn’t take long! Yesterday, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) openly spoke of American-funded, directed, and staffed biological weapons development laboratories in Ukraine. But also yesterday, Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) accused former Rep. Gabbard of treason. This morning, Gabbard responded, in a withering series of tweets that not only put “Mittens” in his place, but also left no doubt that certain American officials have been playing with biological fire. After this, someone needs to issue some Congressional subpoenas yesterday.
What Tulsi Gabbard said, and the back-and-forth that followed
Rep. Gabbard recorded a video of herself making the accusation.
CNAV mentioned this tweet this morning in a discussion of dissension growing in Republican ranks. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) flat-out called out Ukraine for thuggish behavior and, in general, having a problem with the truth.
This morning, Senator Romney said this:
Many, many commentators objected to this accusation. The best and most on point responses follow:
And then came Tulsi Gabbard herself:

In case any of those tweets disappear, Wayne Dupree created a graphic with the full text:
.@MittRomney, you have called me a ‘treasonous liar’ for stating the fact that “there are 25+ US-funded biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release & spread deadly pathogens to US/world” and therefore must be secured in order to prevent new pandemics. Bizarrely, you claim that securing these labs (or even calling for securing these labs) is treasonous and will lead to a loss of life, when the exact opposite is obviously true. The spread of pathogens is what will cause the loss of life, not the prevention of such spread.
Senator Romney, please provide evidence that what I said is untrue and treasonous. If you cannot, you should do the honorable thing: apologize and resign from the Senate.
Evidence of the existence of such biolabs, their vulnerability, and thus the need to take immediate action to secure them is beyond dispute:
#1. State Department’s Victoria Nuland acknowledged such labs containing dangerous pathogens exist in Ukraine in her testimony to the US Senate (March 8, 2022):
“Ukraine has biological research facilities which, in fact we are quite concerned that Russian troops may be seeking to gain control of. We are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces, should they approach.”
A Pentagon fact sheet
#2. Pentagon Fact sheet (March 11, 2022) has numerous statements directly & indirectly confirming the existence of such biolabs.
“The United States, through BTRP, has invested approximately $200 million in Ukraine since 2005, supporting 46 Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and diagnostic sites.”
#3. CBS Face the Nation (March 13, 2022) correspondent David Martin said a Pentagon official told him they’re concerned about the existence of such biolabs in Ukraine:
“The concern is that the Russians will seize one of these biomedical research facilities that Ukraine has, where they do research on deadly pathogens like botulism and anthrax, seize one of those facilities, weaponize the pathogen, and then blame it on Ukraine and the US, because the US has been providing support for some of the research being done in those facilities.”
#4. In April 2020, in refuting Russia’s accusation that U.S. is using biolabs in Ukraine to develop biological weapons, U.S. Embassy in Ukraine acknowledged there are U.S. funded labs in Ukraine working with pathogens for vaccine & other peaceful purposes.
#5. CNN fact-check (March 10, 2022): “There are US-funded biolabs in Ukraine, that much is true.”
#6. Furthermore, according to the DoD there are two biolabs in Ukraine that have been under Russian control for some time: “Russia illegally took possession of two Ukrainian-owned laboratories that BTRP upgraded in 2014 and continues to deny Ukrainian access to these facilities.”
Romney’s choice
So, Senator Romney, you have a choice: out of pride, continue to deny the truth or admit you are wrong, apologize, and resign.
Aloha.
And remember that without the truth, we can be neither safe nor free.
As before, most of the responses Gabbard got are worth mentioning only to condemn them. But one user posted this interesting insight and graphic:
What, indeed, are the chances? The photograph depicts “President” Biden, Speaker Pelosi, former Senator and SecState John Kerry … and Mitt Romney. What are the chances that the same sin would touch three Democrats … and a nominal Republican? This is what Steven Turley, Ph.D., and others mean by the phrase Republican In Name Only (RINO).
And did CNAV read about someone demanding evidence? Here one will find evidence!
Takeaways from the Gabbard and Romney spat
The first thing anyone reading this can take away from this dust-up is: You read it here first!
Second, we now can guess why Tulsi Gabbard is not a member of the House of Representatives, though she richly deserves to be. She now has no home in the Democratic Party – and in Hawaii, if you are not a Democrat, you don’t win election. But we also see the Republican establishment working with the Democratic establishment to whip up war fever. Tulsi Gabbard knows what war is – so with rare exception, people in power don’t care to listen to her.
And third: someone in this country set up biological weapons development facilities, with American funding, American direction, and American staffs. Congress, after Midterms, must investigate. CNAV recommends slapping the following with a subpoena duces tecum:
- Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
- Former Secretary of State John Kerry
- Present Secretary of State William Blinken
- Present Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland
- Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease
- Col. Constance L. Jenkins USA, Commandant, United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, Fort Detrick, Maryland
Each of these worthies needs to answer this question: what do you know, and when did you know it?
And Mitt Romney should explain the testimonies of Victoria Nuland and the findings of Correspondent David Martin and others. Let him tell us why some kind of laboratory with American staffs exists or existed in Ukraine, or resign from the Senate. The people of Utah deserve the chance to send a more qualified man to the Senate than he.
Update: let Romney explain this to Gabbard and the rest of us!
This video came to CNAV‘s attention today, from BitChute user “Decoding Satan.” In it, the Russian Ministry of Defense says that these biological weapons development laboratories produced SARS-CoV-2.
Now we know where it came from. It was Ukraine and NATO who took the bio-weapon to the Wuhan military games on 10/18/2019. The NATO courier Virgina Benassi fell sick there. She was patient zero according to George Webb. A relative of hers, another Benassi, fell sick in Italy. Follow the Benassi trail.
