Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says Paul Pelosi should’ve shot his ‘drugged-out illegal alien’ attacker
While speaking at a rally in Iowa, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) brought up the subject of Paul Pelosi’s recent attack.
The attacked occurred in his home, and the attacker, David DePape, has been arrested for the crime, although has pleaded not guilty.
Taylor Greene said that Paul Pelosi “should have been a gun owner and shot his attacker.”
“More Americans are robbed, stabbed, raped, kidnaped, carjacked, and murdered. But only, the only crime victim you hear about from Democrats in the media is Paul Pelosi,” Greene said.
She added, “Paul Pelosi was brutally attacked by a drugged-out illegal alien that should have been deported. And Paul Pelosi should have been a gun owner and shot his attacker.”
The deportation comment was in relation to the fact that DePape arrived in 2008 as a temporary visitor and his visa has long since expired.
Pelosi was discharged hospital on Thursday after undergoing surgery for a skull fracture and injuries he sustained to his right arm and both hands.
Greene also took aim at Democrats, hitting out at the level of violence “every single day in Joe Biden’s America” and criticized the media for focusing more on Paul Pelosi’s attack than everyday crime.
“More Americans are robbed, stabbed, raped, kidnaped, carjacked and murdered,” Greene said. “But the only crime victim you hear about from Democrats in the media is Paul Pelosi.”
Greene brought up the subject of Ukraine during her speech and told the crowd that Republicans will not send money to the country if they retake Congress in the upcoming midterms.
Congress has approved around $60 billion in aid for Ukraine since the war started at the end of February.
Greene vowed that, “Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine,” adding: “Our country comes first.”
