Bill Clinton dismisses questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein at TX rally

Former United States president Bill Clinton appeared at a political rally for Texas Democrats ahead of Tuesday’s midterms, where he was asked about his alleged relationship with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The ex-president appeared to laugh at the mention of Epstein, answering only, “I think the evidence is clear,” before walking away from the reporter who asked the question.

Clinton has been mentioned in relation to Epstein many times, with some former aides reporting Clinton had visited Epstein’s private residence in the US Virgin Islands in 2003, and that Clinton had made Epstein and others sign documents denying he had ever visited Epstein’s private island.

“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” said one of Clinton’s spokespeople in 2019.

Flight logs from Epstein’s personal jet obtained by The Gawker appear to show Clinton aboard the jet several times.

The former president was asked about Epstein the same week Virginia Guiffre, one of Epstein’s victims, dropped her accusations of sex trafficking against attorney Alan Dershowitz, saying she was mistaken when she previously identified him as one of the men to whom Epstein trafficked her for sex.

“I am gratified that Virginia Giuffre has dropped all of her claims against me and has admitted that she now recognizes she may have made a mistake in identifying me,” Dershowitz said in a statement.
