Letter from Joe Biden to Devon Archer proves tie
A letter from then-Vice-President Biden to Hunter Biden’s business associate Devon Archer belies Biden’s claims of ignorance.

A letter from Joe Biden to former Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer belies Biden’s repeated denials that he ever discussed his son’s business dealings or knew anything about his business associates.
The incriminating letter
The letter first bore mention in an interview that Tucker Carlson had with Archer in Episode 12 of Carlson’s show. (That show appears as videos which Carlson posts to Platform X.)
In that interview, Archer mentioned a letter, dated January 20, 2011, from then-Vice-President Biden to him. Biden apologizes to Archer for failure to connect after a State luncheon honoring then-Chiese President Hu Jintao. Jon Herold of Badlands Media shared a photograph of the letter:
This letter, the text of which Archer confirmed to Carlson during their interview, reads as follows:
Dear Devin (sic):
I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. I was having trouble getting away from hosting President Hu.
I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. I hope you enjoyed the lunch. Thanks for coming.
Sincerely,
Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
P.S.: Happy you guys are together.
That last postscript is handwritten. Herold’s post embeds a second photo of an email from one of Archer’s business partners, one Eric Schwerin. This email has the subject “Re: Head Table” and clearly mentions the luncheon. It reads:
FYI, the VP and JK [presumably then-Energy Czar John Kerry] are both at the head table tomorrow along with President Hu [Jintao], Henry Kissinger, Vera Wang and Barbra Streisand and Secretary [of State Hillary] Clinton. Should make for interesting table conversation.
The New York Post shared their cover story this morning about the letter.
In that story, the Post quotes a partial transcript of Archer’s interview with Carlson. Archer acknowledges the letter as the fruition of his efforts to build a “government-regulatory-strategic-advisory business” and have it reach the highest levels of government. Carlson, shocked, observed the obvious: as Vice-President, Biden was “not allowed to be working on businesses with foreign governments.” Yet the letter proves he was doing precisely that. And according to the Post, Archer and Hunter Biden planned for Archer to attend the luncheon as early as the fall of 2010.
Luxury cars and a family brand
In related news, Jonathan Turley released this short thread on X, referring apparently to Archer’s testimony to House Oversight.
This exchange, in reaction to that thread, indicates the divide in the country as to whom people wish to believe.
