Leftists turn on each other

Two reports over the weekend show why leftists could never govern for very long. They don’t so much dream as complain – constantly – about every little thing that defies – or mocks – their expectations. The country has seen that ever since the Election of 2024 turned out as it did. Now the Internet is seeing what happens when a population of complainers takes over a social-media platform. The results are predictable to any – like your editor – who has watched the America left since the Kennedy assassination. Leftists are creatures of grievance – and will not take lasting satisfaction from anything. Worse, the leftists now appear to include some of the worst criminals a civilized society can have.

The leftists melt down over the election

Trump War Room, at about 4:30 p.m. EST yesterday (November 24), published a two-minute-odd montage of leftists melting down. They interspersed legacy media election “calls” with utterly inappropriate commentaries from news anchors – and even less appropriate responses from ordinary citizens.

At least Cenk Uyghur at The Young Turks had an understandable attitude:

Of course not – the Democrats, at least at the top of the ticket, failed to do what they said they’d do. Now consider Sunny Hostin at ABC’s The View:

No, Ms. Hostin. The relevant question is, what is wrong with you. And the young black woman who screamed, “WHY? WHY? WHY?” while at the wheel of an automobile. (Let’s hope she wasn’t driving!.) And your colleagues, who delayed calling the election until they could no longer delay and remain credible. As Jim Hoft at The Gateway Pundit observed, legacy-media channels didn’t call the election until four hours later.

But notice this one redeeming quality, though not much of one. Sunny Hostin asked what was wrong with America. Disgusting as that is, she didn’t question whether her fellow citizens actually voted for Trump – only why. Ben Kew at The Gateway Pundit reported that 94 percent of Americans accept the election results – most of them. (He questions the Arizona U.S. Senate race, but then, Kari Lake did not run as strong a campaign as she might have.) What changed? Stronger election integrity – and a campaign to reach inactive but still-alive voters and encourage them to re-activate themselves.

Bluesky – a debacle in the making?

Turn now to Bluesky, which the left touts as the latest X clone. Bryan Chai at The Western Journal has some telling insights. Recall that several leftists, including most notably Actor/Director/Producer Rob Reiner, decamped to Bluesky after the election. Bluesky offers the kind of insulting, one-sided moderation that Parag Agrawal brazenly installed on his platform before Elon bought it. Any conservative who visits Bluesky typically lasts only long enough to fire a few Parthian shots. (Rob Reiner cried out that he committed himself for psychiatric treatment on the strength of that.) So leftists are all the platform has left on it. The Hollywood Reporter said Bluesky now had twenty million users after this “Xodus.” No one disputes that, nor that the platform’s user base multiplied more than threefold since August. (X has had 907 million unique visitors in the same period.)

But can leftists get along on “their own” platform? Apparently not! Ten days ago, Bluesky Trust and Safety dropped a telling four-post thread:

One user, possibly in sarcasm, expressed “thank[s]” for the censorship – and “said” it “out loud.”

What does this tell you?

The first insight from that thread, is that the moderators are seeing increased reports of objectively abusive material. Child Sexual Abuse Material has no place on any platform. That kind of thing, even Gab and Rumble won’t tolerate. So where is it coming from? That goes to show one of the most dangerous features of the left: it attracts pedophiles and similar sexual criminals. Well, what do leftists expect? They proclaim that the “sovereign individual” (by their lights) should be free from all biological and legal constraints. All constraints, that is, except those that “harm” the “community.” Of course sexual criminals will repair to their spaces, along with Alphabet Soup adherents. (And none can deny the overlap between those two groups.) What, then, did those moderators expect?

But after that, they observe “spam, scam, and trolling activity.” To troll is to say something discomfiting, merely to get a rise out of some person or persons. But to leftists, anything that challenges their worldview constitutes trolling. In short, dissent is trolling. Now one can understand the attitude of User “Xi Jin Pig.” With a username like that, he likely just trolled the Trust and Safety Team. If his post eventually no longer displays, then readers will know that Bluesky Trust and Safety have “dealt” with him.

Note also that they need more thought cops, and are encouraging snitching. They’ve just asked their user base to overload them with pettifogging complaints.

Or maybe fourteen million leftist “Karens.”

Leftists were always going to fall out

Mr. Chai goes on to describe how Bluesky will fail by reason of how it treats it users.

[A]t least [X] treats its users like adults on a level playing field.

He also sums up how leftists treat each other:

Leftism, at its core, is about division, and that’s why it just doesn’t work. Oh sure, it pretends to be all-inclusive, but inclusivity is the antithesis of intersectionality, and the latter is the primary currency of the left.

You’re not black enough, you’re not the right sort of Asian, whatever “LatinX” was … there’s always going to be some aggrieved party within leftist ideology. The entire scam crumbles on itself the instant two parties are treated like true equals.

That’s true on and off platforms like Bluesky. Leftists make a Grand Coalition of Victims – which cannot be an alliance. Sooner or later the coalition was bound to fracture. As they steal from society’s more productive members, they fall out over who’s entitled to most of the loot. And crime? Soft on crime works right up to the moment the women suffer from criminal attacks against themselves. The particular criminal attack only men can perpetrate (effectively) against women, is a political metaphor for men’s oppression of women. But what happens when women suffer such attack from members of other “protected” groups? What can the community’s thought cops say then? “You must give your bodies for the revolution”? How does one suppose that sounds?

Ask yourself why the Asians broke away from the Grand Leftist Coalition. When they started to earn their places in a society that at last let them in, their erstwhile coalition partners turned against them. When they then forged a new alliance with the whites, the left’s defeat on that front became inevitable.

That’s why the right will win against the left – in addition to having all the children while leftists kill theirs. The right is about forging real alliances; the left only forms temporary, and fractious, coalitions.
