Leveraging the Defense Production Act to Stockpile Minerals
There is a clear error in this article. Your constitution includes a clause that prohibits the making of religious laws or prohibiting the free expression of religion. This clearly means no particular state religion for the US, which you described as a Christian nation.
You misconstrue the First Amendment anyway. The Establishment Clause means that we have no official government church, and that the government does not hire or fire pastors. It does not mean that government officials must be atheists.
I guess that means I would have been wrong, had that been what was trying to say. Your statement is off topic.
I know you guys are not fond of the statement “Separation of Church and State” but that is what is effectively set up by the clause in question. Are you referring to a set of principles that give equal protection to every religion as being exclusively christian?
I’d say both your, and Ms. Salanitri’s replies are jumping to conclusions about my statement that do no follow from it’s contents. However, to do so would be pointing out the obvious.
First of all, “separation of church and state” does not appear in the Constitution. It appears in the Letter to the Danbury Baptists by Thomas Jefferson. And that is the only primary source for that quote.
And second: my statement is dead on topic. The whole point here is that, reading your remarks according to the simplest rules of inference, you think that freedom of religion means freedom from religion.
Only if “freedom from religion” means the right to choose any or none. I’m not expecting total absence of religion or religious influence in your nation or mine. Just complete individual freedom in matters of faith. And yes your statement was completely off topic. Let’s re-trace your flow of logic.
Given Information:
-Person on internet says US constitution prevents government from making religious laws or preventing free expression of religion.
-Person says therefore US is not a Christian nation, and is without a particular state religion.
Conclusion:
-Person believes only Atheists should be government officials.
Can you add some clarity to this “inference” of yours.
This country was founded upon Christian principles. Our Founders stated this over and over again. To deliberately confuse that this is “One Nation under God” with the fact that we do not operated under a theocracy is disingenous.
Yes, that is true as we have a ‘separation of church and state…which is known as ‘religious freedom. However, this country was created as “one nation under God and endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights and the pursuit of happiness. We WERE NOT endowed any rights under Tao, Buddha, Mohammed, Shintu or any other prophet from the past. America was guided and created under CHRISTIAN TENETS and PRINCIPALS…that’s why our door is open to people of all faiths and beliefs. It sounds like you have a different belief system and would like to demean American history and exceptionalism. If you look to destroy our Christian Foundations…we allow you another right!..The ‘right to l;eave this country’ and enjoy all of the restrictions and lack of freedoms in your ancestoral land. Please, live amongst us in peace or go back to where you came from!
Mr. Obama became a member of the Illinois bar in 1991.
Thank you for the correction. I made the edit.

Who took the test for him?
He’s got a remarkably high IQ and was a fantastic student. There’s no need to impugn his intelligence or integrity like that.
How do you know? If he were that good a student, more people would remember him. Practically no one did. That’s not to say he never went there, but that he never did anything memorable.
