The Huffington Post, in full agreement with the Daily News, reported, “Another Shooting, Another Deluge of Tweeted Prayers. Public officials are the people society trusts to solve society’s ills. Like, say, gun violence. But… all these officials can seemingly do is rush to offer their useless thoughts and prayers.” If I were in a dream, what’s happening in America would be a nightmare. But I’m not in a dream; this madness is all too real. For decades Secular Progressives have successfully pushed God out of our society, and the result is the ever-increasing amoral violence we are experiencing.

And what is the answer from these secularists? LESS GOD – MORE GUN CONTROL!

President Obama’s immediate response to the shootings was, “The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world … We should never think this is something that just happens in the ordinary course of events, because it doesn’t happen with the same frequency in other countries.”

Apparently the ongoing mass murders committed by militant Muslims in the Middle East, Africa and Europe don’t count. And it means nothing that, in the ordinary course of events within the Muslim world, such atrocities as mass murder, beheadings and infanticide is the norm.

The initial response from other Democrats to the San Bernardino killings was the same:

Hillary Clinton:“I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now.”

Harry Reid, while blaming the NRA for the shootings said: “We’re going to force the Senate to vote today on amendments that do something to stop gun violence.”

Bernie Sanders: “Mass shootings are becoming an almost-everyday occurrence in this country. This sickening and senseless gun violence must stop.”

Martin O’Malley: “Horrifying news out of #SanBernardino. Enough is enough: it’s time to stand up to the @NRA and enact meaningful gun safety laws.”

Even Geraldo Rivera tweeted:“Mass shooting in San Bernardino [sic] California at a Center for the Developmentally Disabled WTF! The 2d Amendment is Stupid!!! Don’t rationalize.”

These secular progressives all jumped on the band wagon, following the advice from Rahm Emanuel, one of their own, “You never want to let a serious crisis go to waste.”

Yup, their first thought is gun control; not the victims, and certainly not the police who they consistently blame for violence. Doesn’t matter we already have “meaningful” gun laws which for some reason don’t deter the bad guys.

And Republicans say…

Republican candidates, irrespective of the Daily News and The Huffington Post, invoked God; offering prayers for the victims, their families and the police:

Donald Trump: “California shooting looks very bad. Good luck to law enforcement and God bless. This is when our police are so appreciated!”

Dr. Ben Carson: “My thoughts and prayers are with the shooting victims and their families in San Bernardino.”

Ted Cruz: “Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the first responders in San Bernardino who willingly go into harm’s way to save others.”

Other candidates offered similar condolences and prayers.

But just twenty four hours later we found out the shooters were Muslims, apparently ready to commit multiple terrorist acts. Syed Farook, an American and Tashfeen Malik, whom he brought to America from Saudi Arabia were ready to commit multiple acts of terrorism.

The president, upon finding out the killers were Muslims who had pipe bombs and IED’s in addition to guns stated, “It is possible that this was terrorist-related, but we don’t know. It’s also possible this was workplace-related.” Good God, the man is an absolute disgrace!

Hillary is no better. Even though all militant Muslims have declared war on America she remains firm in her conviction Republicans are the enemy – along with the Constitution and the NRA – but not Muslims.

This latest terrorist killing spree becomes an enigma for Christian and Jewish groups actively working to bring Syrian refugees to America. They tell us there is no danger from women and children, but is that true? Tashfeen, left her six month old baby, then had no problem slaughtering innocent people at a Christmas party. This shows their ill-placed trust is indeed dangerous.

In retrospect, perhaps the Daily News and Huffington Post are right. Perhaps God isn’t fixing this and prayer is useless. After all, are Christians and Jews doing anything to denounce the Secular Progressives and bring God back to America? Ronald Reagan challenged us, “We must be cautious in claiming that God is on our side. I think the real question we must answer is, are we on His side?”

TPATH NOTE: ​Most of the Republican candidates and pundits, as referenced by Mr. Matrisciano, offered prayers but otherwise very weak responses to the left’s rantings about the need for more gun control.  There was an exception however.  Donald Trump said (paraphrasing) that if a few people in that building in San Bernadino and last week in Paris, had guns and knew how to use them, the terrorists would have died much sooner and there would be a lot more innocent people still alive.
